I'm all for taking risks,
For leaping into the unknown,
The thrill of something new,
Even when I'm unsure
If I'll stumble or shine.
I'm all in for the risk of love,
For diving deep, heart first,
Embracing the wild, sweet fall,
Even though I know
I might shatter on the ground.
That's the dreamer in me,
The lover girl who believes,
In chasing stars,
In trusting the leap,
No matter where I land.
But now, my heart is weary,
My steps more cautious, slow.
Some risks aren't worth taking,
Especially when the scars
Still whisper of the past.
I trace the lines of old wounds,
Remembering all the falls,
And I wonder if I have the strength
To risk breaking once more.
