You leaving—
One of the best decision you ever made,
Though I couldn't see it then.
I should have been angry,
And for a while, I was—
Until I realised,
You chose for me
Because you knew there was no other way
For us to grow.
Everything you did,
From the first glance to
The last goodbye we shared,
Was out of love.
And now, I can't help but be thankful
That you were my first love—
You treated me with kindness,
With respect,
Right up until the end.
You were once my everything,
The center of my world,
But now,
You barely cross my mind.
And I sleep better at night
Knowing that even as we fell apart,
It was still love.
It hurt like hell,
The kind of pain that cuts deep,
But it was the best choice
For both of us.
A difficult choice,
A loving choice,
And somehow
In the end,
It was the right choice.
