And finally, after I stopped chasing you,
Stopped searching every place for you,
Stopped waiting by the phone at night,
Hoping a text from you would light.
I stopped begging for your attention,
Stopped giving you all my affection.
Stopped pouring out my energy and time,
No longer living in your uncertain rhyme.
Would it bother you if I walked away?
Would you notice that I couldn't stay?
Would you come back and find me here?
Or let me go and disappear?
I'm done running in endless circles,
Exhausted from chasing these hurtful hurdles.
But still, I hold on to that fragile thread,
Hoping someday you'll turn back instead.
I just want answers, clear and true—
Do I still mean something to you?
