I remember us, a girl and a boy,
Curled up on the couch, lost in simple joy.
The world didn't matter, it was just you and me,
Our hearts beating in sync with what we'd see.
You held me so close, your heartbeat near,
I could almost count each pulse, so clear.
The show played on, our own little trance,
But that was before we lost our chance.
Now a new season's coming, but I can't bear the thought,
To watch it alone, knowing what we lost.
You were it for me, my world, my light,
And though we've parted, you changed my life.
You're gone, but the impact remains,
In every episode, in every refrain.
I'll skip this season, and all the next ones too,
I'll let it pass by, let it fade from the view,
For watching it now would feel like losing you.
