I love you—
I don't care about the years,
the differences, the whispers saying, too late.
I don't care if I'm too young
or if time thinks we've passed.
I love you. When you left me,
I was shattered, lost in a world
that no longer held you.
I was angry, alone,
but never with you.
I couldn't hate you,
and I hated myself for that.
I love you.I've stitched myself back together,
learned to stand without you.
But even in the healing,
I never let go of what we were.
I understand now
why you chose to leave,
but that doesn't mean we can't try again.
I love you.This isn't for the memories;
it's for us.
For who we are now,
for the chance to do it better.
No bitterness, no blame,
just love in its purest form.
I love you.But if you can't,
if your heart isn't in it,
then let's at least be okay.
We don't need to share the same spaces,
but when you see me,
simply smile, and just say hi.
I will always love you.—MistakenGenius
