We weren't supposed to be more than friends,
Not yet, but we tried anyway.
I felt butterflies stir within,
And I believed in love again.
You were on my mind, all day, all night,
After so long, you brought back light.
You made me laugh when I felt low,
And I guess I just let my feelings show.
Never thought about it, never planned,
But you took my heart by the hand.
Now all I know is when I'm with you,
I'm never alone—my heart feels true.
I just wish you felt the same way too.
