You were a risk I couldn't take,
But still, I tried—
I took that leap,
Risking love,
Belonging to you,
And though it ended in heartbreak,
I would do it all again
If it meant being held by you
One more time.
Being loved by you,
Hearing your laughter fill the room,
I used to tell you
You weren't a risk I couldn't take—
Because I did.
But deep down, I knew
It wasn't built to last.
So I guess we both
Took that risk,
Uncertain but unafraid,
Because even knowing
It might not last—
We loved us.
You loved me,
And I loved you.
If that's all I get in this lifetime—
