I'll never do the things we did,
With anyone else the same,
Won't laugh as hard or love as deep,
As I once did when I spoke your name.
But I won't cry as often either,
Won't let my heart be torn,
I won't give all of me away
To someone who leaves me worn.
I've learned not to settle,
For half-hearted love or doubt,
I'll wait for someone who wants it all—
Not just pieces to figure out.
So yes, I may drive by those places,
Where memories echo of you,
But I won't settle for anything less
Than the love I know I'm due.
Not anymore,
Never again.
