What scares me most about falling in love?
It's that nobody teaches you how to fall out of it.
Heartbreak is a well-trodden path,
But the map for navigating the aftermath is missing.
You wake up to an empty space,
Plans once shared now just echoes,
Memories of you scattered like lost pages.
Where do I put it all?
How do I stop the feeling?
You know the feeling,
Where everything seems frozen.
I can delete your social media,
Remove your number, erase our photos,
Throw away gifts and reminders.
I can wipe you from my life,
But how do I erase the feelings?
The memories linger,
No matter how much time has passed,
Those emotions refuse to fade.
