If you were to ever doubt my love,
If you ever forget that I love you,
Just look at my face,
Search for my eyes,
And let them speak what words can't.
Even if months or years
Have stretched between us,
I could form the words,
Say I don't love you anymore—
But if, for just a second,
You look into my eyes,
You'll know I'm lying.
These brown, golden eyes,
The ones that were once
Your favourite thing about me,
They never lied.
And every time they find you,
They are filled with love.
Even in silence,
Even from a distance,
My eyes will always hold
The truth I cannot say.
