After some minutes you finally relaxed and stopped fighting against your mom's grip.

- "I'm sorry"

- "Let's go to the living room" your mom said guiding you gently and then sitting down by your side. - "I just want to help you, but you need to be honest for that"

You just bit your lip and looked away.

- "Talk to me"

- "I don't know what to say. You already saw the notebook" you whispered looking down.

Andrea held one of your hands - "I want you to tell me what you need"

- "I don't know. I'm scared" you said crying again.

- "About what?"

- "About letting go"

- "You don't see it but you're killing yourself. How can I help you to be less scared?" Your mom asked squeezing your hand.

- "I don't care that much, and I don't know" you shrugged.

Those words broke your mom - "WELL, I DO CARE" she screamed and you just cried again. - "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have screamed" she said after that.

You just wiped your tears, and your mom hugged you tightly - "Shhhh. You'll be alright" she kept repeating while stroking your head. Some minutes later she pulled away.

- "Want to read for a bit?" She said and you nodded. She brought you your book and you got comfortable on the couch. She read for an hour too until she felt her phone vibrating and she went to the garden to answer Taylor's call, but she kept looking at you through the glass doors.

Taylor began by excusing herself for not being able to call her back sooner, then she asked how you were. Andrea told her everything and how morning snack and the conversation had gone. Taylor repeated again that she could come home right away, but Andrea kept refusing—telling her to do what she needed to and then come back. Taylor reluctantly agreed but told Andrea that she was going to try to come back before 9am so she could be there for the appointment.

Andrea went to prepare lunch, trying to keep it simple: some turkey sandwiches with a side salad and mango juice. When it was time for lunch came back and guided you to the kitchen to eat. You managed the salad but couldn't eat anymore.

- "Darling, you can't just eat the salad. Come on"

But you couldn't manage any more, that was all you had been eating for lunch for weeks now, it felt impossible to break the pattern right now. You shook your head and began to cry, hiding your head in between your arms. Andrea let you cry for a bit and then tried again. But you just kept shaking your head not looking at her. She gave you some minutes again and tried one more time, but the result was the same. She was getting frustrated:

- "Can you sit up, darling?"

You ignored her but she was losing her patience.

- "I'm serious. Sit up" she said more serious now. So, you sat up but avoided looking her.

- "Eat" she said glancing at your food and bit her sandwich.

- "Mom, please" you begged.

- "You HAVE to eat, Lizzie" she replied.

- "I can't" you cried again.

- "You can, come on. Count to three, pick up the sandwich and bite it"

You followed the instructions but couldn't bite it. After some minutes she tried again

- "Okay, one, two, three"
