Since caught, your mom confiscated your Apple Watch, she took total control over your food and took you to the doctor—who suggested regular therapy again and you were now being weighted once a week when you had your therapy appointment. He also suggested that you should go every 2-3 weeks for a checkup with him so he could watch your physical health, do blood work and intervene if necessary. You managed to be able to continue on the contemporary dance group but under the strict condition that you needed to eat whatever put in front of you, no extra exercise and, on Wednesdays (when you had your dance practice) you had to had extra with your afternoon snack, to ensure that you were not losing any more weight. Yet, you were slowly losing weight, and you had been threatened with getting pulled out of the contemporary dance team and with exploring returning to the day program again.
You were having a lot of trouble with coping with everything. You were trying to secretly workout every chance you got but those opportunities were hard to find, since Taylor and your mom wouldn't leave your side. As a result, you were super irritable and got easily irritated, nights were full of anxiety and falling asleep was very hard. On a one particular night, you had fought with your mom over dinner and after you were done, you went to your room mad at everyone. Taylor knocked gently on your door but there was no answer. She tried again.
- "Who is it?" You asked.
- "It's me, Liz" Taylor replied.
- "Come in" you said.
Taylor opened the door slowly and walked in and you were lying on your side, facing back the door.
- "Can I sit down?"
- "Mhm"
Taylor sat beside you and stroked your back - "How are you feeling? It was a rough dinner"
You just shrugged and kept staring blankly to the front.
- "Use your words, baby"
- "I don't want to talk. I'd rather be alone, actually" you replied softly.
Taylor stroked your hair - "I hear you, but I can see you're in distress and I don't want you to hurt or torture yourself overthinking. Sometimes when we talk about things can help..."
- "But sometimes we want to be left alone too" you replied harshly.
Taylor sighed and pulled away her hand
- "Okay, I'm right next door, I will be there if you need me. Love you" she stood up and looked at you briefly again before leaving.
- "Love you too" you replied softly and when the door closed behind her, you started crying softly. After a while you managed to get up, get into your pajamas and brush your teeth to get into bed again.
Falling asleep had been very hard for some nights now and that night was not the exception. You have had some nightmares with food when you were very poorly before, but nothing like this time: they had become more frequent in the last couple of weeks —and now you were having nightmares almost every night. That night you kept rolling over in bed feeling full from dinner and hating how it felt. You were convinced that you could feel the fat sitting on your stomach and your legs growing. After a couple of hours of rolling over, you finally fell asleep.
A couple of hours later you woke up suddenly—another horrible nightmare. It was hard falling back to sleep; you kept waking up. At the next day when you woke up to go to school, you padded downstairs with bags under your eyes. Your mom had just plated your breakfast, and she was about to sit down and drink the coffee Taylor has just made for both of them to drink.
- "Good morning, Lizzie. I'm sorry about losing my temper last night I know you were trying, I just get desperate sometimes, but it was not the right thing to do" your mom said smiling softly.
