"YOU SLEPT WITH THE HOT YOUNG ASTRONOMY TEACHER?!" Lily gasped, letting the spoon she was holding drop onto the floor with tomato sauce. "How did you manage to do that? No offence Remus, I think you're great but she is SO out of your league."
Remus sat in the Potter kitchen, as James and Lily cooked him a hearty Wednesday night dinner.
It was October now. The night slowly getting darker snd the mornings biting with the threat of winter.
He ran a hand through his tired face, shaking his head.
"I'm not sure what I was thinking," he sighed, ignoring the look of both James and Lily's shocked faces.
Except, he knew exactly what he was thinking.
She was hot. And smart. And there was something about the way she looked at him that turned him into an animal.
"I'll tell you what you were thinking. You were thinking about how good sex is when you have to hide it. Your coworker AND she's younger? Right on Moony. Right on."
It was Sirius Black who spoke, who was lazed out on the Potter couch tossing popcorn in his mouth despite the fact Lily was cooking dinner.
And yes, Sirius Black was indeed still a fugitive. He spent his time floating around. Sometimes he found solace in the Potter house, othertimes he spent his nights tucked behind back alley dumpsters.
It was by no means an easy life. Though he'd take the garbage can stench and homeless men accidentally pissing on him any day over Azkaban.
"Sirius!" Lily complained from the kitchen, her hands on her hips. "Don't be so weird."
"What?" Sirius countered back with a shrug of her shoulders. "She was hot wasn't she Lily?"
"She was hot," Lily admitted, "but still you're weird."
"She reminded me of someone. I can't figure out who though," James interjected from where he was leaning on the kitchen castle.
The man was wearing his classic James Potter glasses, his hair its usual mess. Lily muttered in agreement, and as they began throwing around ideas about where they all could possibly know her from, Remus was deep in thought.
There was something about this woman that was highly unusual to him. As a werewolf, Remus has heightened senses. He noticed the way her skin seemed to have an extra glimmer, that sometimes the shade of her hair seemed to morph in an unusual way.
Most of all, this woman had an air of mystery to her. She was quick to end conversations when he asked to many questions, and had a way of guiding conversations in the direction she wanted.
Then there was the fact Remus was hearing from students that Elowen Grey was one of the best duelling instructors they had ever seen in action.
Even Harry had told James about her.
Though Remus knew anyone could be talented at martial magic, it didn't add up with her story.
She was some peaceful American witch who taught children how to read.
