Idiots make our decisions

There was absolutely no way in hell the idiots who planned the Tri-wizard tournament were going to make the champions fight dragons.

"That can't happen!" Aveline exclaimed to Remus.

They were lying in his bed— naked. The man holding Aveline (who still very much looked like Elowen Grey) close to his chest.

Now that Remus knew Elowen was Aveline, they both found it a tad bit weird to have sex when Aveline was Elowen. Though Remus refused to let Aveline take the necklace off and go through that much pain again, and Aveline refused to not have sex with Remus.

Remus had just finished doing multiple things to Aveline, though the most shocking was telling her what Harry had told him about the dragons.

"He's got a plan. I'm sure of it," Remus reassured, though it sounded like was he was trying to reassure himself more then anything.

"So what's his plan?"

"Well," Remus began, "I don't really know, but I know he's got something."

James and Lily did not yet know about Aveline, so Remus had to relay to her their reaction of finding out Harry was in the tournament.

As expected, it was as if hell had broken loose.

Lily was horrified and terrified. Nearly crying every time she thought about Harry in the tournament.

And James was angry. He even went as far as storming into the ministry himself and cursing out Barty and Bagman until their faces were white.

Though they knew the truth— there was nothing they could, Harry had to compete. Magical contracts couldn't be broken.

"We will get him through this," Remus said against rubbing Aveline's arm as he spoke. "Say," he continue, his tone changing, "Fred and George tell me Karkaroff was giving you a hard time in your lesson today. Is that right?"

Her head titled up, to find his brown eyes staring down deeply at her.

She sighed, "it's nothing I can't handle."

"You shouldn't have to handle him," Remus countered, "Let's talk to Dumbledore."

"And what is he going to do?" Aveline said back, "Igor is the headmaster of Durmstrang. He'll do what he wants."

Remus let out a low grumble. He had always been protective over Aveline, the same way you would be for anyone you loved.  Though he couldn't tell if it was his age, or the fact she had been dead, but his protective instincts seemed to be even stronger with her back.

He didn't trust anyone around her. He'd rather die than have her taken from him again.

His hands were wrapped around her tightly. As tight as possibly could wrap them without squeezing her so tight.

"I thought I told you to tell me right away if Igor gives you troubles."

"You told Elowen," Aveline responded, tapping his arm as she spoke, "Not me."

Remus sent her a glare and a roll of his eyes, "You know what I mean. Tell me these things. I want to help."

Aveline was so used to handling all her problems herself. Even when she was with Remus, there was so much going on and Aveline had the habit of not letting other people help her.

Though she was tired, and his arms were warm and made her feel safe.

So even though she didn't want Remus to feel like he had to get involved, she sighed and muttered, "Okay. I will."
