Aveline felt like she was sixteen again, tossing around every single piece of clothing she had in her room in a manic tornado of panic.
Time seemed to blink by. Aveline telling herself that she would go get a dress tomorrow, day after day, until Christmas day rolled around and she was still dressless.
She was certain she had to have something in her closet that would suffice. After multiple deep dives, she found some red wizarding robes that looked like something Mcgonagall would wear.
Though Aveline loved Mcgonagall she didn't want to match with her.
Her room was chaos. Clothes on the floor in every direction, makeup products spread out across her dresser.
She was seriously beginning to stress— Remus was supposed to be here in less than an hour— but then the site of the light catching her curtains caught her eye.
They were bronze color. Almost a dark goldish brown that seemed to almost glint red and orange in certain light.
They were a light fabric, the perfect type of fabric to blow in the breeze— perfect for a dress.
She didn't hesitate, climbing up on her desk and ripping the curtains from the wall and laying the large outstretched of fabric on her bed.
Taking a deep breath, she pulled her wand from
her back pocket. It had been awhile since she had done something like this, though once upon time, Aveline lived for this type of creation.
For a moment she thought, studying the way the fabric glinted as she taped her foot against the ground. Then, with a graceful flick of her wand, she began to get to work.
The fabric soared in the air, chunks of it flying off in every which direction as Aveline circled it, flicking and twirling her wand in all sorts of ways.
The fabric looked as if it was dressing an invisible
body in the middle of the room, until suddenly a dress was formed.
It fell to the ground. A simple design as the beauty of the fabric spoke for itself. A square neckline that fell that showed just enough of her chest to remind herself she was young, but covered just enough to remind herself she was a professor.
A few more spells and flicks of her wand, and her brown hair was half pulled back with elegant waves falling down her back. A layer of makeup on her face, with hints of gold eyeshadow and smoky brown liner.
She was slipping into the dress just as there was a knock on the door.
Shit. Her eyes quickly glanced to the clock— it must be Remus.
Not bothering to zip up the dress, she hobbled to the door clutching her chest to make sure it didn't fall to the ground.
She opened the door, "Remus I—"
She paused. It wasn't Remus.
It was Severus Snape, staring down at her with complete disgust on his face, and Aveline was practically half naked.
If she turned around, he certainly would see her unzipped back and the fact she was wearing lacy pink underwear.
"Uhhhh," Aveline started, her face flushing red as she desperately tried to pull the fabric up to cover her bra which was peaking out ever so slightly. "Severus hi."
Snape seemed equally as uncomfortable in the situation as Aveline, his nose upturning even more if possible.
"Albus would like all staff to report early for a quick meeting on supervision," Snape told her, drawing out his words in a long and slow matter. "You should be ready now. Not dancing around your room half-naked—"
"Excuse me Severus, what are you doing?" a voice snapped.
Severus turned around to see a very disgruntled looking Remus standing behind him. Remus pushed past Snape, greeting Aveline with a raise of his eyebrow.
Gently, he placed his hands on her shoulders, pushing her farther in the room before turning to face Severus— blocking Aveline from the man's view.
"I was just telling Rosier, Albus would like a word with everyone in 30 minutes," Severus sneered. "If you two can manage being ready by then."
Remus looked as if he wanted to punch snape in the face, but nevertheless nodded and shut the door harshly in the man's face.
When he turned around, Aveline's face was red as a tomato.
"Oh my god!" she cried, throwing her face in her hands. "I thought it was you. I practically answered the door with my boobs out—"
"Snape saw your boobs?"
"No," Aveline corrected with a gag. "Most definitely not. Now will you help me zip up my dress?"
She turned around, lifting up her hair.
Remus's hands were warm against her skin, as one found the side of her waist and the other fell to the zipper, which hung just below the band of her lacy underwear.
"You look stunning," he whispered in her ear, and his breath travelled down her exposed spine and gave her chills.
He seemed to be taking his time with the zipper, moving his finger down her back.
"The zipper," Aveline reminded him, though she couldn't lie she found everything he did undeniably attractive.
"Hm," he muttered.
His hands went back down to the zipper, though instead of zipping up the dress, he found his way to her the band of her underwear — tracing his finger over the lace pattern and playfully tugging at its edge.
"And I like," he continued, "these underwear. Very cute."
His hand slipped behind the fabric of her dress, moving from her back to her stomach daring to make its way down.
Aveline wasn't exactly complaining, but they had places to be.
She turned around, raising an eyebrow at him and prodding him in the chest.
"We have like 30 minutes till we have to be downstairs," she reprimanded. "And I can't mess up my hair or makeup."
She turned back around, still holding her hair up waiting for him to do up the dress.
Remus didn't seem to convinced by her words, grabbing her waist and pulling her against him till her back was pressed up against his chest.
"We can do a lot in 30 minutes love," he said softly. "Besides, you're a witch. Hair and makeup can be fixed within seconds. Can it not?"
The feeling of his fingers on her waist was borderline putting Aveline into overdrive.
She was trying to focus. She should be a responsible adult and zip up her dress then make her way downstairs with the rest of staff.
But once again Remus' hand was sneaking behind the fabric of her dress, curving around her stomach.
His touch was so warm, sending sparks down her entire body and instantly causing her breath to quicken.
"Tell me if you want me to stop," he told her.
She really should have said no, though when his fingers started tugging at the band of her underwear, Aveline couldn't help herself.
She turned around, letting her dress fall to her ankles as she practically attacked the man with a kiss.
