As much as Aveline would've liked to spend the rest of her existence wrapped up in Remus's arms in her warm and cozy bed, both of them couldn't afford that luxury.
Despite the fact they had over a decade of conversations, kissing and cuddling to make up for, the world was still moving at the same pace.
They had classes to teach, and other Hogwarts duties that forced them out of bed the following morning.
Of course, Remus had slept in Aveline's bed the previous night. He didn't plan on leaving her side unless he absolutely had too.
"Say," Remus asked, watching her brush her teeth in her bathroom mirror. "How is it you managed to become Elowen Grey?"
She spit her toothpaste in the sink, rinsing her mouth and crying it, before she held up a pendent on a small silver chain.
Remus wasn't surprised the necklace was enchanted. In fact, when he saw Elowen wearing it for the first time, he figured it had some sort of enchantment on it. Though he figured it was for good luck, or shiny hair— not turning you into a completely different person.
Despite the fact Snape, Madeye, Mcgonagall and Remus now knew about Aveline, the plan was for her still to remain hidden from the rest of the world.
It was far easier that way. Hogwarts was already getting an awful lot of attention with the cup and now with Harry as a champion. They didn't need to bring a back to life Aveline Rosier to the mix.
Besides, Dumbledore was right— there were odd dark thinks happening and it was far easier and safer to keep the identity of Aveline hidden.
She could deal with it now that Remus knew. She no longer felt as if a pit of guilt was eating at her stomach.
"Dumbledore got it made," Aveline explained, handing it over to Remus who looked at it with a careful eye. "Though I suggest you leave the room well I put it on."
The painfulness of the transformation had been the exact reason she hadn't taken it off since the day she put it on. Even when she was alone in her own chambers and could let herself be Aveline, she kept the necklace on, not wanting to go through the bone crunching transformation.
She knew if Remus saw how much pain it caused her, he'd loose his mind.
"Why?" he asked, raising a suspicious eyebrow.
She sent him a worried smile, "It's just probably not something you want to hear. Or see."
Though now that she had said it, Remus was most definitely not leaving.
He stood firmly with his arms crossed, until Aveline grudgingly agreed to let him stay.
"Okay but be warned, it seems far more dramatic then it actually is."
She turned around, lifting her hair off her neck and allowing him to clasp the silver chain around her neck.
And there it was.
The burning crunch feeling that began in her feet that instantly had her hurled over clutching her stomach.
Remus gasped, and she instantly felt his strong hands grabbing her waist to support her.
"I'm fine—" she tried to reassure him, but was cut off by her own scream as the pain began to move through her legs.
It was horrible. Aveline trying her best to not sound like a manic infront of Remus.
