A/N: surprise, double update! This is part two so go read chapter 111 first if you haven't.
Have fun reading!

Midoriya POV

It's a little awkward when Midnight drops us back off at the apartment in her car, and I wonder if Shota told her this morning that I hadn't slept when she tells me to 'get some rest' in a comforting tone.

It's not as nice when Hitoshi isn't the one fawning over me, reminding me to take care of myself. It brings out the embarrassment and guilt without the warm fuzzy feeling that makes me feel at ease. That's not nice, I shouldn't be comparing people who are going out of their way to accommodate for me.

"Thank you... Kayama sensei. Sorry to cut our trip short," I tell her when I get out of the car, bowing my head.

She waves a lazy hand out her rolled down window. "Don't worry about it, you just focus on doing things at your own pace. And remember, you can come to me if Shota is being overprotective. If he does something like this again I'll give him a stern talking to." She jokes.

Unfortunately, I can feel the guilt that's been radiating off of the man behind me for the past half hour, and he doesn't even bother with a comeback to her remarks. He's seemed especially upset with himself since we left the food court.

I can't find it in me to laugh at her words in this situation, and to top it off I just feel so tired.

"Get home safe, Nemuri." He tells her, in a tone which upon further inspection sounds more like dejection than exhaustion. I'm almost surprised Midnight doesn't say something about how he's acting like a kicked puppy, given the way she likes to compare him to dogs.

That makes me feel worse though, because I'm sure he's upset because he thinks he made me cry in the middle of the mall. Well, he wouldn't be entirely wrong but it's also not really his fault. He was just being careful, and I guess my emotions are exponentially more difficult to control when I'm running on low sleep.

I understand his concerns and the fact that he didn't want to tell me, but I also hope that he doesn't think he can't tell me things without me breaking down. It's become apparent that I haven't been doing a very good job of displaying my mental stability so far.

We ride up the elevator and enter the apartment in silence, and I can at least say I'm glad to finally be able to take my gross mask off.

Shota leaves the things we got in my room while I wash my face, and then I try to take a nap like he suggested in the car on the way back.

I'm exhausted but I still just can't sleep. My mind wanders between thoughts of Shota's anxiousness, the half-finished shopping trip, and Monoma, who I'd previously completely forgotten about.

Now that he'd been brought to the surface of my mind again, I remembered the way he threatened to hurt Hitoshi several times, as did more than one other member of the league.

Curled up on the bed, I pulled up the news on my phone and read about the trial, which was nearing its end. Just for peace of mind and a little curiosity, I reasoned with myself, not because I'm suddenly worried about Hitoshi's wellbeing and safety. It was a relatively publicized event, apparently. I scrolled through endless articles, steering away from the videos which had his blonde hair and scowling face plastered behind the play button. Just make sure there haven't been any hiccups. If something happened it would be all over the internet within minutes and then I could worry about Hitoshi, but if everything looks fine there's no reason to be concerned.
