Midoriya POV

The front gate of their estate is electric and a waiting staff member presses a button to open it for us, but the man holds up one hand, palm out, to signal us to stay where we are.

Once the gate is fully open, he steps over to the driver's side of the car and Midnight rolls down her window.

He peers in, politely asks me to pull down my mask, and when he confirms my face is the one of Momo's classmate who he's been instructed to let in, he tells us to head on in. We pull up close to the front entrance, and as we're getting out I'm suddenly feeling a little nervous in my new sweats and long sleeved shirt.

This place is really nice. I'm here to train but I feel like I should have dressed nicer. Also, I haven't been to a classmates home since before Kacchan decided I was a better punching bag than friend.

The front door opened before I could go any further down that rabbit hole. I fought against turning around to throw an accusatory glance at the man from the gate who no-doubt notified Momo of our presence.

She was at the door wearing something that looked somewhat like our school's summer athletic set but much higher quality and in softer colors, definitely tailored to fit her better.

"Welcome, Midoriya. It's good to see you." Her gaze slid over to my chaperone, and she skillfully hid her surprise. "And Midnight Sensei. I hope you've been well." She said politely.

"Thank you. Your family has a beautiful home," she tilts her head back, admiring the architecture and the detailing around the second floor windows. Hizashi was right when he said she'd enjoy this. I didn't realize the woman could have such a look of wonder on her face. "Don't mind me though, I'm only here to drop off your classmate, and I'll be out of your hair until it's time to come pick him back up." She says it in a way that makes it easy to drop the subject, the unasked question of why exactly she was here left unacknowledged and very much unanswered.

I suppose it would be plausible to guess that this was sort of a bodyguard type of situation considering what has happened over the last few months, which wouldn't be entirely wrong but also not entirely correct.

It was close enough that I didn't really mind.

"Then please, Midoriya, come in. I'll have some tea made and we can talk for a bit before we start."

I nod and step forward disjointedly, then look back as Ms. Kayama gets back into her car. "Have fun," she says, "call me if you need anything."

I wave in response. Okay. I'm really doing this.

Momo takes the lead on some small talk between us as we walk down an ornate hall towards a sitting room of some kind- a tea room? I had to wonder if rich people really had entire rooms dedicated to that sort of thing. It has plenty of seating scattered about, though it's a relatively smaller and more intimate room compared to what little I had seen from the rest of the house. I might have called it cozy if it weren't for the fact that the furniture seemed to cost more than I think I'll ever make in my career, and there were various small vases, sculptures, and paintings scattered about tastefully which I could only assume were priceless.

Someone brought tea to us on a ceramic tray with gleaming silver handles and I knew I was out of my comfort zone.

"I hope this is alright. It's a Yunnan gold tip tea- you may also know it as a Shanghai breakfast tea. Forgive me, I know I've served it to you and the class before but I can't recall whether it was to your taste," she explains apologetically.
