A/N: I'm gonna be real, I went into this thinking that they only have one cat but apparently my chapter 30 says otherwise... (so this is why people plan before they start writing.) Not to worry though, Aizawa and his husband give their cat enough love to be sufficient for two cats. That's their baby.
Have fun reading!

Midoriya POV

"Hey Shota!" That's a friendly voice. But wait, I didn't realize she'd be here this soon? I thought I'd at least be out of the shower before she arrived. I should've hid in the bathroom.

"...Come in." The words are spoken with a sigh that sounds like someone has resigned themselves to a terrible fate. Hizashi isn't the only one with a dramatic streak, the two husbands seem to have something in common in that respect.

"Somebody slept worse than usual last night. Thought Hizashi said you were off. Did you patrol last night-"

"Nemuri." She scooted around him, zipping her mouth shut and her boots off and heading straight towards their kitchen. It was strange to see her in civilian clothes, Bayonetta glasses paired with a puffy blouse and some very wide legged dress pants that almost looked more like a skirt upon first glance. Her hair was tied back with a silk scarf, and while she did look like somebody who was no-doubt very wealthy and quite-probably famous, I could see how she might be hard to recognize to the average citizen who was so used to her hero persona.

Enough about that though, what about how I look? My heart plummeted and I took a half-step back from my approaching teacher. So much of my skin is showing, a mutilated, scarred, uneven mess all on display as if I'm trying to show it off. Why do more people have to see the scars? I was perfectly happy with it staying between me and my very small group of people, but this point the whole staff and their family might as well see. So everyone can stare at the proof of how much they messed me up.

"Midoriya, good morning! I never got to check in with you after the last rescue, I didn't want to pull you out of class and I never catch you outside of lessons. I trust you're doing alright? Hanging in there?"

"Ah, M-Midnight sensei," I felt a little flustered, unsure how to interact with her especially when not only are dozens of scars on display but I'm also looking a total mess from a night of little sleep. My hair alone is a tangled nightmare sticking out six inches in every direction, except for where there's probably a flat spot on the back of my head.

Somewhere in the back of my brain I wondered if I was feeling worse about this whole thing because I was standing in front of someone who not only was very conventionally attractive but who partially depended on that attractiveness for her hero ratings and success. Not that she wasn't a perfectly competent and successful hero on her own, but so much of the female hero industry was built upon looks and presentation. It's how the female heroes of her generation were able to climb the ranks, and it's no doubt a big part of her identity. Wow, that's probably the most competent thought I'll have all day, given the amount of sleep I'm running on.

"No need to call me that, just Nemuri is fine, or Kayama if it's more comfortable. Auntie works too. I really can't believe those two have a kid now," she laughs. "If Hizashi is ever being too annoying or Shota's acting overprotective don't be afraid to come to me." She graciously avoids looking anywhere but my face, though I'm not sure it looks much better than the rest of my body right now.

"You just want drama, you crazy lady. Now give me my cat and leave Izuku alone."

Midnight gently slides what I thought was a backpack off of her shoulders, which I'm now realizing was actually a pet carrier.
