Toby visited Spencer every day after school. Melissa still managed to stay in college, so she wasn't home a lot. Spencer felt comfortable around Toby. She felt like she could be herself around him. She wanted more than anything to tell him how she felt. He was practically her savior. If it wasn't for him, she would've ended her life. He's the reason she's still alive. He is what keeps her going. She decided not to tell him how she felt. She couldn't risk losing him.

Spencer helped Toby with his Chemistry homework. Toby was a year older than Spencer, so his work was more complicated. Or so he thought. Spencer finished his homework like it was nothing. "Damn... You're a genius." Toby told Spencer. "It's nothing." Spencer said. Toby sat up to be closer to Spencer. She looked beautiful, dressed in a slightly oversized blue t-shirt and black leggings. Her hair was up in a messy ponytail, exposing the back of her neck. Toby was so tempted to kiss it. "Um... Do you want to watch a movie or something?" Spencer asked, knowing that Toby was staring at her. She didn't mind, in fact, she wanted him to move in closer. "Sure." Toby said and wrapped Spencer in his arms. She let out a laugh, and then their eyes met. Toby took this as a sign. This was his shot. This was his moment to kiss her. He leaned in, and they were even closer than last time. Spencer and Toby's lips were practically half an inch apart before Melissa walked in.

"Hey, Spencer." Melissa said, almost in shock seeing Spencer on the couch... with a boy. "Hi, Melissa. This is Toby." Spencer said awkwardly. Toby gave Melissa a friendly smile. "We were just about to watch a movie." Spencer stated, emphasizing "watch a movie" to let her sister know that they were going to do nothing of the sort. Thankfully, Toby didn't catch on. Melissa stood there, confused for a second, and then gasped. "Oh! You were! Well, I'll leave you two to that." She exclaimed and grabbed her car keys again. She made up an excuse that she forgot something at the store and left.

"I'm sorry about her." Spencer jokingly apologized. Toby laughed a little. "It's fine. Actually, I think I should go." Toby said. Spencer's heart stopped. He had to go? Why? She looked at the time. It was already 6:30 PM. She knew his family would wonder where he was. They said goodbye, only hugging, and he left. Waiting until she knew for sure Toby had left, Spencer called Melissa.

"Hey, you can come out of hiding now. Toby left."

"Really? How did it go?"

"Nothing happened. We'll talk about it when you get home."

"Okay. I'm on my way."
