-SATURDAY-
"Toby, can I ask you a question?" I ask Toby as we got ready for Emily and Yvonne to come over.
"Anything, my love." Count on Toby to make anything cheesy and romantic.
"When you were talking about finding other girls attractive... Were you talking about Emily?"
"Maybe..." He says, "but as you can tell, she's clearly not available." He joked. I didn't find it very funny.
There is a knock at the door, preventing me from saying anything. It's Emily, accompanied by a tall, beautiful brunette girl with bright hazel eyes and perfect red lips. I'm guessing that this girl is Yvonne.
I've never felt more insecure.
----
Emily was a great girl. So was Yvonne, but she was being extremely flirtatious. I wouldn't have minded if it was towards Emily, but no. She was practically flirting with Toby.
Does she not know that her girlfriend, and his girlfriend are sitting right next to her?
I was definitely under the impression that Yvonne was interested in girls and boys, and she wanted to be more than just friends with Toby.
I didn't feel comfortable having her in my home anymore.
I faked a stomach ache. I pretended to be sick, just so they could leave. I locked myself in the bathroom, fake dry-heaving.
A few minutes passed, and Emily and Yvonne were long gone.
"Babe, are you okay?" Toby asked from the other side of the door.
"I'm fine, probably just food poisoning." I lied.
"It was your cooking." Toby joked. I love how he always tries to make me feel better.
"I'm sorry I had to cut dinner short."
Toby was silent for a while. "It's fine. I kind of wanted them to leave anyways."
My heart stopped. "How come?" I ask, acting as innocent as I possibly could.
"That Yvonne girl was crazy," he said, "she was all over me. She even gave me her number."
I burst out of the bathroom and hug him. "Thank god, I thought you were falling for her." I say.
Toby kisses the top of my head before he asks, "You faked being sick?"
"Yeah, kind of." I admit, feeling a little guilty.
"Oh my god, I love you so much." He says and kisses me.
"I love you, too."
----
Toby and I were lying in bed that night, passionately kissing and about to go further, until something stopped me.
"You said Yvonne gave you her number?" I ask Toby in between kisses.
Toby stops. "Yeah, but I threw it out." He said. I could tell he was telling the truth, but a part of me still felt uneasy.
"I'm pretty tired. I think I'm going to to bed." I say. I'm not up for a hot make out session anymore.
"Spencer," Toby says, massaging my shoulders, "don't let her get to you. I love you."
"I love you, too," I say, "goodnight."
----
I waited until I was completely sure that Toby was asleep. I quietly and quickly snuck out of our bed and to the kitchen. I hated doing this, but I drug through the trash until I found Yvonne's note.
"Hey cutie,
You should ditch that stuck-up girlfriend of yours and call me sometime. 553-9145
-Yvonne"That bitch.
I ripped the note in half, and crumpled it up. I wanted to do so much more. I wanted to set the note on fire. I wanted to drive over to her house and smack the living shit out of her.
But I stopped myself from doing anything that I would regret.
At least I have self-control.
