Hanna came over and visited me a few times.

She kept telling me about this cute new guy she was seeing. Cameron, I think his name was. I don't know. I never pay attention. Hanna has a tendency to mumble and ramble.

"I think it's great that you finally found someone who can put up with your shopping obsession," I joked. Hanna laughed, and went on about how great this guy was.

"Hanna, you know I love you, but you've been talking nonstop for a half hour." I finally say.

She playfully pushes me. "Do you want to see a picture?" She asks, pulling out her phone.

I nod and she scrolls through her photos until she shows me a picture of a very familiar guy with the same dark brown hair and rockstar vibe.

"Han, what did you say his name was?" I ask.

"Caleb."

Oh my god. Caleb and Hanna are dating. Just three days ago, he was hitting on me. He was hitting on his girlfriend's best friend.

I stop myself from going there. I don't know enough. Maybe they just started seeing each other. Like, two days ago, maybe.

"Hanna, when did you two start seeing each other?"

"I don't know, like, two weeks ago?" She answers.

Oh my god. Caleb hit on me while he had a girlfriend.

"Are you two serious? Like are you seeing other people too?"

"Yeah, we're serious," she giggled, "As for seeing other people, no. I mean, at first yes, but then he told me he wasn't interested in other girls. Just me."

And Caleb was lying to her.

"Hanna, I need to tell you something. But you have to promise that you won't be mad."

"Why would I be mad?"

"I ran into Caleb a few days ago. Before I knew who he was. And, well, he hit on me."

It's like I could hear Hanna's heart breaking.

"No. You're lying. You're jealous!"

"Why would I be jealous?"

"Because my life is perfect. You are stuck here and you want one perfect little thing to yourself. Only you can have a perfect relationship so you try to ruin mine."

"Hanna! I'm telling you the truth!"

"Whatever. Don't call me again."

Hanna stormed out of the apartment, leaving me in tears.

I never heard from her again.

----

I cried for what seemed like hours. I lost a friend. The feeling is too familiar. I remember when I had no friends. Everyone hated me. I thought Hanna had changed, but I was wrong.

Calling Aria seemed like the best thing to do. She always had great advice. Then I remembered that she's visiting Iceland for the week with her new boyfriend, Ezra. I met him once, he was handsome, and definitely one hundred percent loyal to Aria.

I don't want to call Toby and burden him with my terrible life, especially while he's at work. Melissa is visiting our grandmother in South Carolina. I'm alone. I have absolutely no one to talk to.

However, there was one person I could call. It was highly doubtful that they would even come over, but it was worth a shot.
