Spencer and Melissa first stopped at Hollis college, a school Melissa had briefly taken classes at during her senior year of high school, before graduating and attending UPenn. The professors there were really kind, however, Spencer had noticed that they were looking at her like she was one of those dogs with wheels for legs. She explained that she had been in an accident, and won't be in the wheelchair when she starts school. They understood, and continued on with the tour.

Spencer had fallen in love with Hollis. It was perfect. And above all, it was close. Close to home. Close to Melissa. Close to Hanna.

Close to Toby.

"I want to go here." Spencer told her sister as they left.

Melissa gave her a strange look. "Are you sure, Spence? This is only the first college we've seen."

"I just... I know this school is for me. I can feel it."

"Alright. Let's do it!"

-Labor Day Weekend-

"You're going to make me cry." Melissa said to Spencer as she was loading her things in the car. Melissa was six months pregnant. "Please don't. Or else I'm going to cry, too." Spencer said. She was finally walking again, having ditched that stupid wheelchair months ago.

Melissa and Spencer hugged. "I'm going to be a phone call away, you know that, right?" Melissa asked. Spencer nodded. "Of course.

"You ready to go?" Hanna asked Spencer from outside, knocking on the door. Hanna offered to be Spencer's ride.

"Yeah. I'm ready." Spencer said, opening the door to find her beautiful blonde friend with piercing blue eyes.

"Maybe I should go with you. I can help you unpack your things and-" Melissa started, finding any excuse to stay with Spencer a little bit longer.

"Melissa, I can take care of myself." Spencer said.

That saying alone brought tears to Melissa's eyes. Spencer had been more than a sister to her. With all the secrets they shared, the countless nights they stayed up until four in the morning, the endless amount of inside jokes, they were more than sisters.

They were best friends.

"Okay." Melissa said, that being the only thing she could say.

She hated seeing Spencer leave. Spencer was finally an adult. She was old enough to make her own decisions, live her own life. "Call me when you're settled in." Melissa said, getting some more words out.

Spencer nodded. "I will. And thanks."

"For what?"

"For everything."
