"I'm sorry to bother you. My parents are still at the apartment. They won't be gone until tomorrow." Spencer explained to Toby later that day. He was still staying at the motel. Toby brought Spencer in for a hug. She needed it. He ran his fingers through her dark brown hair. It was soft and smelled like lavender. "It's alright. I was hoping you'd come back." he said, bringing her into the room. Before he got to say anything else, she leaned in and kissed him. It felt just as good as the first kiss. She discovered that his shirt had buttons, so she began undoing them, exposing his muscular, warm chest. "Spencer," Toby started to say, but was soon distracted by Spencer taking off her own shirt. She was just in her bra, leaving her stomach exposed. He ran his hands down her back, causing her to giggle to herself. They began to kiss some more and laid on the bed together.

Spencer reached for Toby's jeans, hoping to take them off. "Wait," Toby said, stopping Spencer, "not now. Let's wait a while." Spencer stopped for a second, then nodded in agreement. They continued to kiss, with just their tops off.

They both laid on the bed, with their arms wrapped around each other. They had spent hours just kissing. They genuinely enjoyed each other's company. They couldn't imagine their lives without each other. Their fingers were perfectly intertwined, and they both fell asleep in each other's arms. Right as Spencer was about to fall asleep, she could feel Toby kiss the top of her head.

"I wish you could stay." Toby said to Spencer as she was about to leave again. "I wish I could stay too, but Melissa needs me," Spencer said. She started giggling, since Toby had started kissing her again as she was talking. She loved the feeling of his lips on her cheek, neck, and lips. "You're the best, Toby." She said. Toby gave her a warm smile and kissed her one more time. They said goodbye as Spencer made her way home.

When Spencer arrived home, she was surprised to find a mysterious guy with Melissa. He had black hair, and very beautiful blue eyes. Of course, they weren't as beautiful as Toby's. "Hello." Spencer awkwardly said to the man. "Hi, Spencer... This is Derek. He's a friend of mine from school." Melissa said. The man, Derek, stood up and put out his hand. "You must be Melissa's younger sister." He said. Spencer shook his hand. His voice was deep and his grip was firm. "Nice to meet you." She politely said.

"Your sister was just telling me that you both play field hockey. Do you play for your school's team?"

Spencer now knew that Melissa hadn't told Derek about their situation.

"I used to, but not anymore. Melissa does, though."

"I see. Melissa and I were just heading out for some lunch. Did you want to join us?"

Melissa made eye contact with Spencer and slightly shook her head, letting Spencer know that she wasn't welcome.

It was a look that said, "I love you, but no."

Spencer kindly declined, letting Melissa and Derek enjoy their afternoon with each other. They made their way out the door, but not before Melissa mouthed "Thank you!" To Spencer.
