I heard a loud blaring alarm and suddenly woke up and first remembered that even though yesterday felt like a Saturday, it was actually a Tuesday, and I seriously had to get up to get ready for school. I groaned and sat up, but unlike seeing my normal turquoise walls, I saw cinnamon brown... Dylan's room? What was I doing in Dylan's room? Suddenly, I turned around. Dylan had been sleeping next to me. Oh. My. Gosh. What new embarrassment had been said last night??? Would my brothers all tease me mercilessly?
I found out quickly. Yes. Yes they would.
I started to lift myself off the bed quietly, hoping to sneak away unseen until I heard Dylan speak.
"So... was someone just a little afraid of the Terminator?"
"No. Shut up!" I said.
"Aww don't worry, I protected you from the big scary robot man." he said smirking.
"Well thanks but no thanks. I wasn't scared and I didn't need any help." I said. "I'm not some little girl who needs to be protected." I huffed.
"That's not what you told everyone last niiiight." he sang as I left his room. God, how much damage did I do last night? I barely remember any of it. All I remembered was resting on Dylan and Blake's lap for a little. And god, isn't that bad enough?
I went to my room, got ready for school, and went downstairs for breakfast.
As I walked into the kitchen, all my brothers looked up, snickering to themselves.
"What?" I asked, confused. I checked over my body for any accidental mistake in my clothing or backpack but saw nothing.
"Oh nothing," Nick said, "It's just... we wanted to say that we love you this much too!" he said, holding out both arms wide. All the boys bust out laughing.
I moaned "You KNOW i didn't mean anything I said right? I mean you're not honestly dumb enough to think-" I started.
"All we KNOW is that you get super honest when you're tired and you seemed pretty tired to me." Blake said.
I started to try to lie but they stopped me.
"Give up, Baby!" Dylan said, pressing a finger to my lips. "We know when you're lying too."
"Don't. Call. Me. THAT!" I hissed, starting to walk to the car, following the boys.
"Why, do you not like it?" Dylan asked, feigning confusion as we got into the car and Blake began driving.
"You know I hate that nickname, don't give me that." I said.
"Actually, from what you said last night, I think you actually love it! And quite a lot!" he said as the others laughed more.
Talen began in a high pitched mocking tone "I sure do love that nickname, because I'm a pretty little girl and my big bro's are my heroes!" I hadn't actually said that though, right? I glared at him immediately, because normally he defended me. He just shrugged his shoulders still laughing. I guessed he liked being on the winning side. It used to be him and me against everyone but once he shot up to almost 6 feet status, the other boys began teasing mostly me.
I flushed red at his comment and turned to the window, trying desperately to un-erase the memories of last night from my mind. But no such luck.
We got to school finally and I hopped out last. Blake drove off with a wave and the other boys started walking forward.
"Have a good second day of school, Baby!" Dylan called out, loud enough for people nearby to turn with puzzlement on their faces.
I blushed deeper and walked the opposite direction, very aware of all of the laughter coming from my jerk brothers behind me.
