I got home and went up to my room same as always. Luckily, I had very little homework tonight so I finished in about 20 minutes. Since Blake had class today too, I decided to go see what my brothers were up to. I went to Nick first, because he sometimes is just practice reading for a play and needs help. I bust into his room and see him sitting on his bed, typing.

"Whatcha up to pal?" I ask, sitting on his bed behind him.

He slammed the laptop shut.

"Nothing." He answers evenly, turning to me.

"Okay... Can I help you with nothing?" I asked hopefully.

"No. Go away." He said, opening his laptop again and turning it away from me.

"Fine." I said, pouting, as I left the room. He was no fun.

This time I went into Talen's room.

"Hey, what's up?" I asked, walking into his room. He stood by his closet, pulled on a jacket, and turned to face me.

"I'm going out." He said, as he walked out the door.

"What? Where? With who?" I asked, following him as he went downstairs and into the garage.

He pulled his bike off of our rack and said "Going to see a movie with Amy. I gotta go to meet her there."

"Did you ask Dylan?" I said with a smile. No way Dylan would let-

"Yep. He said it was alright." He pressed the button to open the garage.

"What? Where's the justice?" I asked, thinking how hard it would be for me to go out on a date.

"Sorry Kota." Talen said, as he hopped on his bike.

"Gotta go now though, so talk to ya later?" He offered.

"Oh, and can you tell Dylan I'm leaving now?"

"Alright." I grumbled, as he biked off. I shut the garage door for him and then walked back upstairs.

I didn't see Dylan downstairs so I walked upstairs and knocked on his door. No way was I suicidal enough to just walk in without permission.

He answered "Come in."

I opened the door to his dark cave and walked inside. I saw Dylan in the corner of his room, where he had a few hand weights set up on a bar. He was curling some heavy weights so I just jumped onto his squishy bed.

"Hey." He said, speaking through his clenched teeth.

"Hey. Talen just left to meet Amy." I informed him.

He just nodded.

"Anything else you need?" He asked, breathing heavily, setting down his weights and brushing his forehead off with a towel.

"Yes. I'm so bored." I said, rolling over on his bed to look up at the ceiling of his room.

"Oh." Dylan said, helpfully.

"So.... Do ya wanna go on the trampoline or something?" I asked, sitting up.

"It rained earlier and it's freezing." he said confused.

"So wear a jacket, wimp." I said.

He turned to me and said "I'm the wimp?" with an amused expression.

"Yes?" I said.

He let out a laugh and gave me a pitying face. "I'm not the one who cried because they lost their pink stuffed animal." he said.
