School came back... and with it the crushing reminder that I couldn't play soccer still, and didn't have my phone or laptop.
Evil Blake. Just cuz we talked about it doesn't mean I'm happy with it.
On the plus side though, I would see Chris again. I was really starting to miss him and it had only been a few days. Not being allowed to his house was a bummer, but he was busy with the kids anyways normally. I was starting to miss them too.
We arrived at school again and as I hopped out of the car Blake said "Dakota. Reminder; No soccer and no using anyone else's phone and no nothing. Be a good girl."
I got out and growled... I hated that term.
He laughed and drove away, leaving the other boys and I to walk into school. Chris was waiting by the front for me and when I caught sight of his gorgeousness I zipped away from my brothers and walked cheerily to him. When I reached him he pecked me on the lips sweetly and hugged me, enveloping me in his hoodie.
I looked up and we just stared at each other for a little smiling like freaks, but smiling like freaks together.Until I was shoved from behind and pushed forward close to hitting my head on the wall behind him. He caught me just in time and I spun to see Dylan confidently strutting over to his group of friends, looking over his shoulder with that smirk.
I handed Chris my backpack and he sighed, holding it for me as I marched over.
"Excuuuuse me?" I said to Dylan's back.
He turned and Taylor waved over his shoulder but I stayed focused on my target.
"Well you got my attention now jerk what do you want?" I asked with a snarl. If it wasn't an everyday thing with him....
Before Dylan could answer a hand was placed on my forehead and one on Dylan's chest, pushing us apart.
"Hey, hey, break it up everyone! Shows over!" Derek hollered to the world.
I smiled at him and jumped up, pushing my arms as far as I could around him in a hug.
He smiled and ruffled my hair which I ignored before saying "Aww, shorty...what's up?""What's up with you?" I asked, pulling away and beaming.
"Well I had to punch a kid for spitting on my shoe by accident and... yeah that was my morning." Derek said.
Everyone around us including Dylan laughed but I just narrowed my eyes angrily at him.
"Did you really hit the guy?" I asked madly.
"Well... yeah. Spit. On my shoe." He said gesturing to his black Vans.
I looked at him madly and he seemed a little sheepish.
"Maybe I'll say sorry later or something." He suggested, asking me almost with the time of his voice.
"Good idea!" I said smiling with a nod. I waved bye to him and Taylor and shot Dylan one more glare before going back to Chris. I would make Derek a good human being yet.
Chris handed me my backpack and said "Well, well! Didja win?"
I laughed loudly, throwing my head back and said "Well of course." With a playful smile.
He laughed too and we walked to class before splitting apart at the door.
The classes dragged along and I felt pathetically bored without being able to text under the table or pop in headphones when I got bored. Realizing this, it was a miracle I managed to get such good grades...
