At the sound of my reply, Dylan jumped up and began scaling the tree. He jumped onto the creaking house, grabbed my hand, and pulled me out. I closed my eyes when I reached the bottom and put my hands over my face. The boys all surrounded me in a circle by the tree.
"Awwwwww, is someone a little shy?" Blake asked, while I considered punching him.
Talen then spoke "Come on Kota, tell us about this loser so we can go kick his ass."
Dylan added "Yeah, who even is this guy? Are you, No, you're not.. dating, right?" He asked scathingly.
I could practically hear him crack his knuckles menacingly.
"No!" I answered, lifting my face. "He's... just, like, a guy, that I - know, thats all. I don't even like him!" I lied.
They all laughed at that.
Nick answered this time. "Ummm, Kota? One, we saw you sprint like crazy to get away. Two, You blush when you talk about him, and three, you're a terrible liar so don't even try, it's just sad." He said while the others nodded.
"Shut up! You guys don't know anything!" I yelled.
"We know that you're in looooove." Talen teased quietly.
I glared at him, and then all of them.
Finally, I said "Just, STOP." and stomped away angrily. That is, until Blake grabbed my belt loop and pulled me back into the circle.
"Hey, look, don't worry so much!" Blake said. "But we do need to know if we should murder him or not, so just let me meet him sometime, like at school, in the morning."
I pictured all the potential disasters and said "No way am I doing that!"
I tried to walk away again until he pulled me back, chuckled and said "Funny thing is, that wasn't a question."
I turned to see all four of my brothers smiling, probably full of evil plans.
We walked into the house and Blake said, "Oh that reminds me, we haven't done a phone check in a while."
He held out his hand and walked to the living room, expecting me to follow. Well, crap. In case you're wondering, a phone check is when Blake steals my phone and snoops through it. He basically used to do it all the time but hasn't recently. I guess the whole Luke thing reminded him.
OH SHOOT THE LUKE THING! HE'LL SEE ALL OUR TEXTS ON MY PHONE!
I tried to calmly ignore it and slowly walk upstairs so I could get further, until Dylan said, "Kota" and nodded to Blake. I needed the element of surprise so I suddenly sprinted upstairs, planning to delete the texts once I could get to my room and lock the door. The boys heard the pounding of my slow (to them) feet and they chased me, knowing something was up. Once I had just grabbed the handle of my door and pulled, I felt Dylan tackle me. I reared up and tried to slip away.
"She must be hiding something on her phone!" Dylan said as he saw me try to unlock my phone.
I heard Blake call out "Whats happening?" from downstairs.
I swung my legs up and accidentally hit Nick in the face with my foot.
Dylan pinned me harder and Nick punched me in the shoulder as I cried out in pain.
Dylan suddenly grabbed my legs and Nick helped him drag me down the stairs.
"HEY! STOP!" I yelled. My head hit every stair step and they ket dragging me into the living room to Blake.
"Not. Fair!" I gasped out, clutching my throbbing head.
"Whoa whoa whoa, what happened?" Blake asked, laughing.
"We found her trying to get rid of something off her phone!" Dylan said, sitting on me now to pin me down. Nick added teasingly "Maybe something about the boy??"
I kept my phone closed into my hand. Blake grabbed my arm and unclenched my hand, removing my phone. Dylan flipped me over so I was on my stomach and couldn't reach it.
"Passcode?" Blake asked, when he tried my old one and it didn't work.
"Not. Telling." I tried to yell out, after my face was jammed into the carpet.
Dylan laughed, "This is almost too easy Kota." He pulled my arm out form under me and stretched out my finger for the passcode lock. I struggled but it was no use. My arm that could barely hold 5 pounds and was nothing against my beast brothers. Nick pressed the phone up against my finger and Blake opened it up. Talen came downstairs and tried to help me. "Come one guys, just stop." he said, to no avail.
Blake started scrolling through my texts and suddenly started laughing. I blushed and went limp, thinking of everything he might be reading.
Blake started narrating some of my texts to my friends, while laughing.
"Ok, heres one to Reilly:
It says: Stop saying my brothers are hot. They're soooo not. I hate them, especially Dylan. He is such a pain in the ass." My brothers all laughed, except Dylan. Dylan jammed his thumb deep into a pressure point in my back so I screamed.
"Next," Blake added, "One to Penelope. It says: OMG he is just so cute sometimes, I can't stand it.
Oh, Kota, were you talking about your mystery boy?"
"No! I was talking about you, gorgeous!" I said, sarcastically.
He rolled his eyes and kept scrolling until he saw something.
"Here we are. Huh. His name is Luke," he said with a smirk. "Aww and he's got a heart next to his name." Everyone laughed more. Dylan actually fell off of me laughing. I got up suddenly, grabbed my phone from Blake, and ran upstairs.
Dylan offered to chase me but I heard Blake said that was enough. I stayed in my room fuming until eventually, I fell asleep from pure exhaustion.
