I woke up early enough to peel off the sweatshirt before anyone could find out who's it was. Then I began hopping around the room to get ready. Today, I wore a sweatshirt, my high top black converse, and an edgier outfit than normal, even adding a baseball cap that used to be Talen's. Then, I started walking carefully downstairs. I kept the pressure mostly off my foot and found it was actually manageable.
I got to the kitchen and found that someone was there. I saw a flash of longish blond hair, and realized it was Dylan. I walked past him to pour myself a bowl of cereal and then I walked over to the table, sitting next to him. He looked down from his phone then and seemed to notice my hat and outfit.
"Oooh Kota's going gangster now, huh?" he said, shoving my shoulder. I ate without talking.
He smacked his hand on the bill of the hat and it fell over my eyes. I pushed it back up with a finger and he smacked it back down again. I finished my food and then pushed it up and walked to the sink to clean it.
"Are you trying to be this annoying or does it just come natural?" I asked.
Dylan walked over to pour out his cereal too and he pushed it down again.
"God, just stop!" I said, pulling it off. "I could count on one hand the amount of times that you've been nice to me this year."
"Oh no!" he said, faking forgetfulness. "I've been nice to you this year? I'm slipping."
I walked out of the room and pulled my hat back on. I went to get my backpack from upstairs and I bumped into Nick and Talen.
Talen said "Hey, is that my hat?"
I smiled and said "Uhhh...". Nick said "Ah, let her wear it. She's trying to be cool." He pushed it down on my forehead and they walked to the kitchen.
UGH. They are all annoying! I pulled it back up and grabbed my stuff from my room. After I brushed my teeth, I double-checked my outfit and then waited to leave, going on my phone. I played many different apps and scanned twitter and instagram until it felt like it was getting late. I called out "BLAKE!" to check if he was ready to drive us and I got no response. I tried Dylan, Nick, and Talen but still nothing. I started to get a little nervous so I left my room and searched every room, finding nobody. I ran out to the car with my bag, fearing the worst and saw it, the car was gone.
I huffed angrily, how did I not guess that this would happen? Then I began walking.
I made it about one block before I saw the car circle back and find me. The shotgun window slid down and I saw Dylan laughing and laughing as hard as he could. He kept attempting to speak as I walked next to the car but when Blake realized he couldn't, he stepped up.
"Sorry Dakota! We just forgot you! Hop in." Blake said.
I just glared at them and kept walking.
Dylan managed to choke out through his laughing "If the Baby wants to walk, let her walk."
Blake looked nervously at me and said "You have a hurt foot, I don't care if you can walk well enough. Get in." Because my foot was aching a teensy bit, I rolled my eyes and slid in the back seat.
"Shut up Dylan!" I said, after listening to him laugh for a minute straight after I got in.
"God why are you such a dick?" I asked, getting heated. Blake warningly said "Dakota!"
"Well he is!" I said.
"Well, no cursing!" Blake said.
"Asshole. Whore. Bitch. Fuck." I yelled before Blake made Nick shove his hand over my mouth to stop me. I kept streaming profanities but Nicks hand blocked me so it came out more like I was choking.
