Dakotas POV:
I woke up with something on my face. I wiped a finger across and pulled it away to find some kind of spit on me...
EW WAS THAT DROOL?
I looked up to find that my favorite/ least favorite loser wrapped around me with one of his big heavy arms crushing me. I tried to lift it up, gently at first. That didn't work... I tried pushing it, shoving it, pinching it, hitting it, he stayed asleep. Okay I am done being nice. I braced myself to scream loudly to wake him and hopefully scare him but just as I was taking in a huge breath he rolled over on top of me, and crushed me completely.
I let out a yell but it did nothing. Possibly because my voice was completely cut off by him CRUSHING MY THROAT. I pushed wildly but he wouldn't shift. Another arm fell over my mouth, suffocating me completely. I acted on instinct, fearing the loss of my life.
I bit his arm. Dug my sharp little vampire teeth right in.
His eyes shot open and he let out a giant deep yell that I would swear broke my eardrums if I hadn't heard him say "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?" a second later.
Luckily he got off to say it and got up on his elbows, so I took my chance and rolled out from under him to the other side of the bed. I gasped for breath until I could finally speak and I said "You almost killed me, GOD TRY LOSING SOME WEIGHT!" Even though he was anything but fat...
"That is pure muscle, baby." he said with a smirk. His shirt stretched across his chest as he flexed and proved his point, unfortunately.
I rolled my eyes and said "I'm going for food bye. Thanks for not murdering me."
He smiled and waved. "Any time."
I left his room and hopped downstairs, hunting for food. Cereal would suffice. The bowls were kept in the top of the cabinet so I jumped up on the cold counter and stretched out one arm to reach it. I was only a fingertip away but a hand came around me and grabbed. I screamed and jumped back, flying off the counter landing on my butt. Ow..
I turned to see Nick smiling and holding the bowl for me. "Got it for you..." he said with a laugh. I scrambled to my feet and grabbed it from him.
"Thank you?" I asked, curious as to why he had done something for someone other than himself.
"I wanted to tell you Kota... Everything is going right with Reilly and I right now again! Thank you so much for talking to her!"
"Oh.... right! Ummm yeah! No problem I guess." As I recalled I had texted her maybe twice about it but glad she and him could work it out. And now I could get some credit for it.
I ate my bowl of cereal alone while scrolling through Instagram and then I got a text. Emma wanted to know if it was cool if they came over today. I informed Blake and he seemed excited so I told them yes. Inwardly I groaned a little. Emma coming over meant Eric coming over. More family time, just what I needed...
An hour later, they were here.
And suddenly, like always I flew back to being a little kid. I swear I felt so adult, until all my family was around me and I was the youngest. Noticeably. Emma helped me feel slightly more sane.
I was curled up on the couch next to her a little later and we were watching some movie she chose and talking.
"So.. yeah. Chris and I are still really close." I said shyly.
"Oh yeah?" she asked, arching an eyebrow with a smile.
I nodded. "Well... he kinda gave me something the other day too. But it's a secret." I said in a hushed voice.
