"Miiiiiiikkkkeeeeeey!!" You shouted, running into the kitchen and jumping on the orange clad turtle's shell.
"Piggy back ride!" You ordered, grinning. Mikey smiled back and began running around the room with you. Since this had become a regular accordance, you and Mikey's whoops and hollers didn't bring much attention to you two, not that you cared."Hey Y/n, you know what's better than a piggy back ride?" Mikey grinned. You smiled back, a little confused.
"No...?" You answered hesitantly. With Mikey, new ideas could mean either an injury, or laughter.
"Flying!" Mikey exclaimed, just as you both began to float in the air. You squeaked, latching on to Mikey's arm as you started to separate in the air.
"What's wrong Sunshine? Aren't you having fun?" Mikey asked, his brow furrowed in worry as he turned to face you fully.
"I-I'm just.. I'm kinda i-iffy on heights." You murmured, hugging his arm tighter as you glanced down. Immediately after he heard this, Mikey hugged you as you both lowered to the ground.
"You should've told me, I wouldn't have been mad." He smiled warmly, parting to look at you. You blushed under his gaze, smiling and nodding shyly.
"S-sorry." You muttered, tucking some hair behind your ear.
"I'm baaaack~!" April called in song, secretly gushing at you and Mikey moments before. You and Mikey quickly stepped away from each other, awkwardly scratching necks and clearing throats.
"H-hey April!" You called, the blush from moments ago lingering. Mikey stole a quick glance at you, which you caught, only worsening your embarrassment and nervousness.
"I-I'm gonna get a sn-snack." You announced, running to the kitchen."Mikey!" April snapped with annoyance at his obliviousness.
"Yeah?" He answered innocently. April facepalmed with a sigh.
"You like Y/n, right?" She began, thinking of the simplest way to explain this to Michelangelo.
"H-how did you kn-know?" He whisper shouted with a bright blush. April chuckled.
"You're so obvious! It's a wonder that Y/n hasn't caught on yet!" She rolled her eyes, crossing her arms.
"That's because she doesn't expect it." Mikey sighed. "It's kinda sad, she doesn't know how beautiful she is, and doesn't expect the people around her beside her family to love her more than a friend. Why are girls like that? How come they don't see how they pretty they really are?" Mikey questioned, looking to April. She didn't answer, shocked at Mikeys smart words.
"Uh.. w-well, it's because basically the rest of the world tells us we're not.. through the media.. and the TV shows we watch." She answered truthfully, rubbing her arm. "But we try to. It's harder for others.."
Mikey stared at April with sad eyes before hugging her tight.
"Well I hope you're not fooled by the world. And I'll make sure Y/n isn't, if she'll listen."April smiled, patting his shell before parting and stepping away.
"Thanks Mikey. That's exactly what you should do. It'll help Y/n a lot."Mikey turned to see you returning, and ran up to give you a hug.
"Did I tell you you look pretty today?" He beamed, throwing his arm around your shoulders. You blushed and grinned.
"No..""Well you do!" He chirped, making you smile more.
"Thanks Mikester."
