"Nooooo! You're cheating!" Mikey pouted, poking your cheek in an attempt to distract you. You both were playing a video game, and you were winning.
"Hey! No I'm not!" You giggle, swatting his hand away. "Stop trying to distract me you goofball."
Mikey beams as he turns his attention back to the TV screen, nuzzling your cheek while doing so. You laugh, struggling to keep your focus on the game when Mikey continuously tries to stop you from winning. You're both sitting on the floor, you sitting in between Mikey's legs, leaning back on him. His arms are around your waist while he mashes buttons on his controller.
"How are you so good that this game?!" He questions in shock. "You just learned how to play last week!"
You giggle, looking up at him with a smug smile.
"I guess I'm a quick learner," you answer with a shrug. Mikey laughs, kissing your forehead and hugging you close, placing his video game controller to the side. You laugh as he nuzzles your cheek once again, closing your eyes as you take in this perfect moment. Mikey smiles at you as he takes in your beauty, amazed that someone as beautiful as you loves a mutant like him. You blush, feeling his eyes on you.
"St-stop staring, silly," you smile shyly, looking down at your lap. In response, Mikey kisses your cheek.
"I can't! You're too darn pretty!" Mikey grins. You laugh, letting yourself melt in his arms.
"Thanks Mikester."
"You're welcome Sunshine," Mikey smiled.
Everything feels perfect. You, here in his arms feels perfect, like it was meant to be. He hopes this moment stays forever, that he can cuddle you and kiss you and play video games with you forever.
Sadly, Mikey would learn that life isn't all fun and games.
