Around two weeks later, everyone is healed and back on their feet. The Y/n's, extremely confused now that there's four of them, recover from the horrifying last six months.

Leonardo's Y/n begins to have nightmares of her time in Baxter Stockmans Lab, and it takes Leo at least two hours to calm you down and get you to fall back asleep.

Raphael's Y/n can barely eat or sleep, even with Raph there to coax you to eat and talk to you until his voice lulls you to sleep.

Donatello's Y/n has sudden mood swings, and along with it, sudden shape shifts. One minute you're as shy as a mouse, and the next you're roaring mad like a lioness. This doesn't really help Donnie get his work done, or sleep peacefully at night.

Mikey's Y/n is quiet, and distant. Mikey's cuddles sometimes do the trick, and other times he sits next to you, growing more and more worried as you stare off into space for hours at a time.

Then one day, something unexpected happens..

Donnie was working in his Lab, adding the finishing touches to a batch of Retro-Mutagen for the Y/n's, when a portal opens right next to him. His sudden scream as he falls out of his chair causes his Y/n to race over as a cheetah, and the others to rush in behind her.

"I-I'm ok!" Donnie says, standing up and brushing himself off. His Y/n hugs him and nuzzles his shoulder, purring. Donnie sighs softly and rubs her back.

"What is this?" Leo asks, walking up to the portal.

"And where does it lead to?" Raph adds to Leo's question as his arm wraps around his Y/n's waist.

"Ooh, maybe it's a candy dimension! Wouldn't that be so cool, cupcake?!" Mikey asks his Y/n excitedly, making her giggle.

"Yeah, it would.." she sighs softly as she trails off. Mikey wraps his arms around her and kisses her cheek lightly.

Leo's Y/n stays close to Leo, holding his hand and hugging the same arm. Leo glances at her and smiles to tell her everything's ok.

"I'll find out where it leads to," Donnie says as he grabs a remote control car and a video camera, taping them together. Everyone watches as Donnie turns on the camera and drives the toy car in. After a few minutes of him messing with the controls, he brings the car back, and plays the video.

On the screen is your old room, the one you had left so suddenly, about two years ago.
Everything is like before, the walls, your bed, the dresser, but there's a thick coat of dust everywhere.
The video ends, and no one says a thing for a while.

"What do we do?" Mikey finally speaks up, his arm wrapping tighter around Y/n's waist.

"I suppose it will close in it's own time.. we'll just have to wait and see," Donnie replies, although he figures that's not what his baby brother is asking.

Leo sighs softly and turns to his Y/n. "Y/n.." he holds her hands. "If you want to go back, I won't stop you.. I know all that happened has really taken it's toll on you.. if you want to go back to your old life, I understand."

Y/n shakes her head and hugs him.
"I don't! I don't want to leave you!" She sniffles. "I don't want to forget you again.. you're my Leo.. my hero.." she whispers.

All Leo can do is hug her as tight as possible, burying his face in her hair.

Raph looks at his Y/n with sad eyes, and she shakes her head vigorously.

"Don't even think about it. I'm not going anywhere," she crosses her arms stubbornly. Raph chuckles softly.

"But your mom.. all your friends.. you have a life over there without the memories and the scars," Raph holds her shoulders gently. "I'll miss you, but you should do what's best for you.."

She shakes her head again.
"What's best for me is to stay with the mutant I love!" She argues, holding his hands. Raph blushes and smiles softly.

Donnie and his Y/n exchange glances, appearing to have a mental conversation with each other.

"I know I can be bothersome," she says. "Do you want me to leave?"

"Of course not!" Donnie replies, hugging her. "I want to help you in any way I can," his voice gets lower. "Even if that means letting you go."

Y/n purrs and hugs him back.
"I don't wanna leave.. I love you," she whispers.

Mikey looks at his Y/n with sad eyes, clinging to her.
"My cupcake, are you going to leave!?" He pouts. She looks at him and kisses his head.

"I'm staying right here with my cuddle-bear," she whispers, smiling. "If you want me to.."

After a moment, Mikey mumbles his reply.
"I just want you to be happy, even if that means you have'ta leave.." he hugs her tight and nuzzles her neck.

The portal remains open for a long time. No one dares enter, in case it closes up immediately after.

They ask you several more times if you want to leave, especially after a bad nightmare.

You always say no, I'm staying right here.
