Riley's POV
"We can do the fast food one next. There's a McDonald's like 2 blocks away on the way to the bar," I motioned for Farkle and Zay to follow me.
The three of us lightly jogged to the McDonald's. Once we got there, we waited on the short line to order.
"I'll do this one guys. Just get ready to record," I volunteered.
When the girl at the counter asked me what I wanted, I started with a 20 piece chicken nuggets and then, I asked for the diet water.
"Okay, coming right up. What else?," she started to type in my order. "Wait. I'm sorry did you mean diet coke?"
"No. I mean diet water."
"Sorry, we don't have that here," the girl responded politely as if such a thing existed.
We continued this banter for another 3 minutes until we satisfied the dare.
Just as I was about to retreat from the line and leave the McDonald's, a thick New York accent bellowed from the line behind me. "Oh my god, you stupid fucking bitch. I've been waiting online here for 5 minutes while you argue about this nonexistent diet water. I would say that you're gonna end up working at McDonald's, but apparently, you're actually to fucking dumb to work here," he pointed at me.
"Excuse me?" Zay stepped towards the guy.
"Zay, it's not even worth it," I grabbed his arm. I turned to the girl at the register and whispered to her, "I'm sorry. It was a dare from my friends. Don't listen to what he implied about McDonald's workers. One of the most admirable types of jobs are the hands-on ones." I smiled and slipped her a 5 dollar tip. It wasn't much, but I felt bad for the scene I caused.
"It's cute that you boys have this little girl to fight your battles," the voice directed to Zay and Farkle.
"Come on. We don't have time for douchebags," I grabbed Farkle's arm and continued to hold on to Zay's arm with my other hand. We left hurriedly before anything else happened.
We continued to jog down the street toward the bar.
"Okay so let's kill two birds with one stone. I'm thinking we go to the CVS just before the bar and Zay can ask for the goldfish first aid kit, and I'll perform 'I'm a Little Tea Pot,'" Farkle recommended. He was a little out of breath because we were still jogging.
Just then, we rounded the corner to the front of CVS. "Perfect! I'll record it," I whipped out my phone to get ready.
After both Zay and Farkle did their dares, we watched the videos of them while we walked to the bar.
"Wow. Farkle somehow that was better than your 3rd grade performance of 'I'm a Little Tea Pot' for the school talent show," I said in awe.
"Our little Chip is all grown up," Zay said in reference the Beauty in the Beast character and pinched Farkle's cheeks.
"First of all, Chip was a tea cup, not a tea pot. Second of all, you didn't even know me when I was that little," Farkle said matter-of-factly.
"Let's be honest, you were still a little dude when I met you," Zay patted Farkle's back and the two of them laughed.
When we walked into The Savage, I immediately spotted Maya flirting with the one of the bartender. Smackle and Lucas were standing nearby talking to Maya and this guy. Lucas's arm was around Smackle as he squeezed her tightly to him.
"Who would've thought we might actually have to worry about those two?" I nudged Farkle and nodded over to Smackle and Lucas.
Farkle and I let out a laugh knowing that Lucas and Smackle would never actually happen.
