Maya's POV Recap

"Please, Maya wait," he gently grabbed my waist to turn me around.

I shook him off me, "I said goodbye Josh. After this wedding, whatever this is, it's done. Let's just get through this wedding for Cory and Topanga and let things go." I climbed out the window and down the fire escape without looking back.

I walked another block until I was out of sight and began to silently sob as I made my way to the subway--unsure of where I was going.

Maya's POV Present Time

The salty tears streamed down my cheeks like a waterfall. I felt my face flush. I didn't bother to turn back around because I knew Josh was following me. If there was one thing I still knew about him, is that he would follow because that's just the kind of guy he was.

So I walked as fast as I could, I still had no idea where I was going. I couldn't go home because I never told Riley about me and Josh. Plus, her and Lucas were probably home from their date right now and making out on the couch or something. I didn't want to interrupt them because they had just gotten back together. That and well, coupley, gooey sap stuff was the last thing I needed right now.

I sped up as I reached the subway platform. I slid onto the subway right before the doors glided shut. I wiped my face furiously and peaked out the window, I saw him. He came to a short stop and he looked out of breath and in pain.

Good. Fuck you Josh. I'm done.

I took a seat in the corner of the subway where Riley fell into Lucas's lap for the first time. Just the thought of the gooey sap story was enough to make my silent tears cone out a little more violently. People were definitely staring but screw it honestly. They needed to mind their own business.

I looked at my phone. It had been buzzing like crazy. I looked at it. Riley was calling me. I ignored the call and sat my head in my hands. God. Just when I think this week wasn't going to be so bad, I'm wrong. Real funny, Life. I'm glad I can entertain you with my misery yet again.

After a couple stops, I got off the subway and started walking again. I went wherever my feet took me. And then I was there.

It was a fancy apartment in the West Village

It was a fancy apartment in the West Village. It had long steps and beautiful black railings leading up to the the rich oak colored door. It was kind of hard to see in the dark of the night, but I took a look at the pretty pink tree and noticed that leaves were beginning to wilt, turning a deeps shade of red. They were about to die. There was something so poetic about the beautiful death of leaves.

I looked past the tree and noticed a bike. Then looked up to his bedroom window. Good. He was home. I walked up the noble pathway to the door. I hesitantly lifted up my arm and gave the door a few hard thumps with my knuckles.

Please answer. I'm cold. I'm tired. I'm mentally exhausted. It's late. I just need a friend.

I always thought Farkle would be the one to end up in a fancy place like this. I mean he had all of the resources and money to end up in a place like this.
