Chapter 27 Part 7

Maya's POV Flashback to about 3 years and 3 months ago--Disney World Family/Friends Vacation

Besides the pillow fight this morning, everything continued on as planned for the day. We finished up a few rides in Magic Kingdom during the morning hours. This wasn't as easy as it sounded though because we had to make sure that we avoided that girl Ashley that Josh gave his number to in order to get us all on Splash Mountain. And that might not have been as much work if we weren't such a big group. Plus, we hadn't been on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad yet and that was located right next to Splash Mountain.

Once we were finished up at Magic Kingdom, our group divided. Those of us in the villa plus Auggie stayed in the parks and went to Hollywood Studios. The rest of the group which was comprised of the adults and the babies, headed back to the rooms to relax and get ready for dinner at Hollywood Studios tonight. 

Feeny, being the crazy old kook that he is, contacted one of his old students that now works for Disney World. Somehow, his former student was able to rent out the Indiana Jones Theater for our dinner tonight; the show was on hiatus, so the tester was not going to be in use. This dinner included seating on the Indiana Jones Stage, a full menu of Disney's finest dishes, an exclusive character meet and greet, a wait staff, and a collection of Disney music playing in the background. It was a late dinner, at 8:50pm, but only Feeny could pull strings like this. He was pretty awesome. But until this dinner, we were going to try to get on as many rides as possible.

I really did feel like I was reliving my childhood here in Disney. Even thought I had never been to Disney as a child, watching Disney movies pretty much consumed my childhood. I always wanted to be one of those princesses with her prince charming and her happily ever after. And to be honest for the first time in my life, I felt like I was going to get my happily ever after. Just being in Disney could give you that kind of feeling, but I really did feel like maybe this happily ever after could extend past this week's vacation. 

Rapunzel was my favorite princess. She was the girly girl yet tomboy that encompassed my entire being. I loved beautiful long, blonde hair. But regardless of aesthetics, I found her admirable. She is a princess who is determined, confident, creative, sings beautiful songs, and has a cute, funky best friend named Pasqual. In a lot of ways, I see myself in her. But in other ways, I strive to be more like her when I lack these qualities. I really wish Hollywood Studios had more productions about Rapunzel. However, I was also a big sucker for Toy Story Land and The Little Mermaid stuff in the park.

We hit up a few shows and pretty much all of the important rides in Hollywood Studios. I'm honestly impressed with how productive we were and how much we were able to get done in so little time. It was getting late in the day, and we were all exhausted from running around the parks all morning.

"I don't know about you guys but I'm kind of tired and thirsty. What do you guys say we get some drinks?" Zay nodded towards the stand that had Margaritas, beers, and wine.

"Cool! Lucas, Smackle, Auggie and I will go grab seats since we aren't 21 and don't have fake IDs. Do you guys mind getting me a Margarita? I'll give you the money later," Riley spoke.

"I'll take a beer. Any kind," Lucas added.

"Margarita for me," Smackle chimed in.

"Pepsi, please. Or Coke. Whichever one they have," Auggie said when we all turned to him.

The four of them headed over to the covered awning that had picnic tables and chairs scatted underneath. Gray infiltrated the sky, leaving dark ominous clouds looming above us. I looked to my right and saw Tower of Terror; I shivered at the thought. It really was setting the mood for the ride.
