Josh's POV
Ugh..I love Riley, but damn she sure does know how to ruin a moment. I mean she didn't even know that I was here but still. Every goddamn time I get close to Maya something interrupts it. Every single goddamn time.
Well, time to get ready and go to Atlantic City I guess. I don't really have much of a choice. So I get up and get dressed into the clothes I had picked out before Maya came in my room.
I can still hear the muffled voices of Riley and Maya, so I just sat still on my bed.
"I'm hungry," Maya whined.
"Just grab a granola bar from the cabinet and let's go...Actually make that two my tummy is a little angry right now too," Riley finished in her girly tone.
I wait another minute until I hear the front door slam to leave my room.
Where was everybody anyways? I knew Topanga had already left for her girls day at the spa, but where were Cor and Auggs? They came back to the house after the tux shopping and I never heard them leave.
It was almost 3:00pm by now and nobody was to be found. I thought we were all meeting here.
Ignoring my confusion, I move into the bathroom and pick up the blowdryer from the floor and plugged it into the wall. Sliding the switch up to high, I shook the blowdryer over my knotty hair as I strained my fingers through it in an attempt to detangle and dry my hair.
Once it was dry, I ran my fingers through a couple more times to neaten up the imperfections and I covered the rest with the sand-colored beanie. As I turned the cold knob to leave the bathroom, I heard a loud wave of noises pile into the living room. It was Cory and Auggie, followed by Shawn, Jack, Eric, my dad, Jesse, and Feeny.
"Hey, Cor. Where were you guys? I was starting to think you left without me," I say half-jokingly, half-seriously.
"Nah. We would never leave without you. You ARE the party Josh," Cory said as a joke, but to be honest it was kind of true. "Since, Auggie can't come down to AC with us, him and I had a mens day."
"Oh god...that doesn't sound good," I laughed.
"Well, ya see I tried to get Auggie a fake ID so that he could come with us, but the kids making them just laughed in my face. They said he still looked too young to use one, but I figured I would try. So after that, we just spent the day out and about around the city."
I laughed at his failed attempt to be a cool dad, but patted him on the shoulder.
"Alright, so who is ready?!" I said trying to rile everyone up.
"I am, as long as Feeny doesn't gamble all my money away again," Shawn pressed.
"Oh, wittle baby Shawnie, it's gonna be okay. I won't let the big bad Feeny hurt you," Eric teased.
"Alright everyone. Let's leave. I wanna get their before the 8pm showing of the History of Atlantic City," Feeny said changing the subject to some typical educational nonsense that only Feeny would care about.
