Josh's POV

Auggie and I walked into the church. We were a little later than we were supposed to be, but we still made it before 5, so it wasn't that big of a deal.

I immediately spotted her when I walked into the church. Her golden hair was shimmering as the setting sun's rays highlighted it.

"Hey Uncle Josh," Auggie waved his hands in front of my face.

"Sorry," I laughed it off. I took my hands out of my pocket and noticed how sweaty my hands were from being nervous.

Maybe I'll try talking to her today. I don't really know if I can wait until Saturday to talk to her.

"Get it together, man," Auggie laughed at me.

I just shook my head and walked up to Cory, patting him on the shoulder. "Mah brothaaaa!"

"Mah brothaaa!" he reciprocated while pulling me into a hug.

"It's the big day, huh. You nervous?" I patted his shoulder again.

"It's not like I haven't done this before," Cory nervously giggled.

"So that's a yes," Auggie chimed in.

"What if she leaves me at the alter," he blurted out.

"There, there drama queen. I mean Cor," I rubbed my hand on his back like I was soothing a baby as he rested his head on my shoulder.

Shawn and Eric entered through the doors and Cory instantly popped his head back up.

"Shawnie!!!!" Cory ran toward him.

"Cor!!!!" Shawn ran toward him.

"Eric!!!!" Eric shouted his name and ran toward the now embracing pair of best friends

The two of them stayed embraced in a hug, jumping up and down. They act like they didn't just see each other the other day. Eric jumped on the outer circle of them until they finally opened up their arms to let him in.

Auggie and I moved past a few people to try and join Cory, Eric, and Shawn.

"Where's the wife?" I asked Shawn.

"She's out there somewhere parking the car," he waved his finger indefinitely, not knowing exactly where she was.

"Where is the girlfriend Joshie?" Shawn raised an eyebrow.

"You know I don't have one," I gave him a hug.

"Right," he wagged a finger at me. "You were eyeing that redhead waitress in AC."

Auggie's eyes widened.

"I was not eyeing her. If you remember, she was the one who was eyeing me," I defended myself even though they didn't know why I was defending myself.

"Ya know he's right," Morgan's husband, Jesse stepped in. "She was practically all over him."

"Thank you!" I raised a hand to his and pulled him into a hug to also say hello.

"I don't know about that," Jack stuck his head into the group huddle. "You looked like you were day dreaming and trying to seduce her as you were sipping on your scotch like you were drinking something fruity."

"First of all, there is nothing wrong with a man drinking a fruity drink. They are delicious. Also, it worked didn't it. She came up to me and wrote her number on the napkin," I felt guilty as I was now bragging about that night. Auggie shot me a look as if to tell me that I'm a pompous asshole which I already knew from what I said that I was one. " I didn't even take the napkin with me by the way."

"The seduce master and then playing hard to get. I knew you weren't a lost cause after all," Shawn admitted. "You're just lucky you had me while you were growing up, otherwise you would've ended up like Cory."

"I didn't mean it lik--" I began to retract my previous bragging statement.

"What's wrong with being like me?" Cory whined.

"Aww nothing," Shawn pretended to console Cory as he held back laugher.

I noticed Lucas, Farkle, and Zay talking to Ryan, Julian, and Noah a few pews away and to the side.

"I'm gonna go over and say hi, I'll catch up with you guys later," I excused myself from the group and greeted my friends some of which I haven't seen in a while.

As I began to catch up with them all, I noticed McKenzie and Maya's eyes drift over to me.

Fuck. I hope McKenzie doesn't say anything. Last thing I need is Maya thinking that I was going around telling everyone what happened with us. I just needed some advice and McKenzie has always been super level-headed and I just figured that she was the right one to talk to about girl problems. And to be fair, she was really helpful, but that wasn't gonna stop me from sticking my foot in my mouth like always.

We talked for a few more minutes before being interrupted.

"Alright, I think it's time we begin," the priest spoke into the microphone while using his hand to adjust it. "Can we have the bridal party meet me in the back? Please find your partner as well when you get back there."

It's game time Josh. Get your shit together.

*****Question: Do you guys think Angela should come to the wedding? Also, do you guys have any comments, questions, concerns, or requests? Lastly, do you guys like when Shailene, Noah, Julian, and Ryan have a part in the story? Obviously they aren't the main story lines and they won't be as important and frequent to the storylines as the girl meets world characters.
