A story mostly focused on Joshaya but will contain hints of Corpanga, Rucas, Smarckle, etc. It all starts in the days leading up to the 25th Corpanga wedding anniversary. It takes place some years in the future (Riley, Maya, Farkle, Smackle, and Zay...
"What?" Riley jumped in her seat a little from my outburst.
"Uhh, nothing, I just forgot that I lent something to Smackle and I need to get it back before tomorrow," I fibbed.
"Okayyyy then," Riley looked at me suspiciously.
Not my best work. I will admit that. I just feel bad. I promised I would be with Smackle when she took the pregnancy test, and I couldn't tell Riley.
"Yea, I'll be back in a little bit, don't wait up," I slid on my shoes and put on my jacket.
I just hope that she didn't already take it; I don't want her to be going through this alone. Whatever it might me. And considering I went through my miscarriage (which every besides Zay thinks was an abortion), I feel like I can actually give her the benefit of my experience.
"Do you want me to come with you?"
Shit.
"No it's okay, I'm just running by to grab it. I shouldn't be long." I was rummaging through the mess on the kitchen counter for my keys.
So what did you lend her that you need it by tomorrow?" Riley asked curiously.
I uhh lent her a pair of my shoes. I think I'm gonna wear them tomorrow for the rehearsal dinner," I continued to lie.
"Aren't you guys different shoe sizes?" Riley pointed out.
"Well yea, but she squeezed into them for something because she had nothing else to wear with her outfit and she was in a bind." I finally found my keys. "I gotta get going before it's too late. I mean gets too late," I instantly corrected myself.
"See you in a little bit!" Riley smiled at me, and then looked back down at her wedding binder.
"Bye," I closed the door behind me.
Me: Hey. I'm so sorry, I flaked out today. Did you already do it? I'm on my way over.
Chipmunk: 👓💎: It's fine, I've been kind of dreading it, so I haven't taken the test yet.
Me: Do you want me to pick up a couple tests before I come over?
Chipmunk: 👓💎: I already got them and Farkle's already asleep. I've been in and out of the bathroom like five times already, debating on whether or not to take it.
Me: I'll be right over.
There was only thing fancier than Lucas and Zay's apartment (which who knows--could be my future apartment if I can find a full-time job to afford it and Riley and Lucas move into ours). And that was Smackle and Farkles's apartment. Those too were loaded with cash. Not only did they both make a lot of money, but Farkle's dad, Minkus is generous when it comes to giving his son money.

It was a three-story loft with a balcony, a roof-top lounge, and the perfect view of the Empire State Building.
I don't even understand how everyone else can afford these fancy shmancy apartments and dinners and clothes. Here I am, collecting change from the elevator floor do that I can afford to buy a pack of gum. Not even good gum either. I have to get whatever gum is the cheapest, even if the flavor only lasts like two minutes.
I texted Smackle when I got there so she could buzz me in without waking Farkle. She was waiting for me at the front door of the loft, panic in her eyes.
When she saw me, she immediately ran up to me. Right as she was about to hug me, I noticed she tensed up. This was something I hadn't seen from Smackle in a long time. She used to struggle with expressing her emotions and interactions, but this wasn't typical for her anymore.
I embraced her tightly until she eased her muscles a little bit.
"Maya, I don't think I can do this. If that test is positive, I'm in trouble. I can barely take care of myself, let alone another human being. I mean you get that right?"
I nodded my head, knowing that she was referring to the fact that I had gotten an abortion according to what everybody thought. We walked into the loft, where she led me to the couch. A drug-store plastic bag was messily strewn on the coffee table, which I assume had the pregnancy tests in it.
"So uhh, why is Farkle asleep so early?" I asked. I finally realized that it was only 7 p.m. and that is kinda early for someone over the age of 5 to be going to bed.
"Ahh, he has a video chat meeting with people in India that he has to take at 3 a.m. and its likely to last a couple hours. So, he figured he better rest up now and get up early to work," she explained.
"That makes so much sense now. Look at him being all business-many," I smiled sweetly and then pretended to gag.
Finally, Smackle cracked a smile.
"Okay, are we ready to do this?" I said, making the smile on her face disappear.
"In a couple minutes, I texted Lucas to come too. I think I'm gonna need all the support I can get no matter what this test says. Do you want something to eat or drink in the meantime?" she offered.
"I'll take a beer," I responded without thinking. "Shit. No, I'll just have whatever soda you have," I corrected myself.
I didn't wanna be flaunting alcohol in front of Smackle at a crucial time like this because she really looked like she could use some. But ya know, baby= no alcohol and it's better to be safe than sorry.
"It's fine, you can have a beer if you want," she reassured me.
"No. Soda is fine. Add some crushed ice to it please!"
