Ashton: “(YN) (YLN) boomed from the microphone and you made your way up to the stage, taking your place, not looking at the crowd, if you did, you’d cry and you’d look weak. “Ashton Irwin!” You froze then. It couldn’t be him, he couldn’t be going as well, why wasn’t someone volunteering for him! It was enough that you had to go, but why did the love of your life have to get reaped as well. You knew that life was cruel, you just didn’t know how cruel until the moment his name was called.

Michael: It was down to just the two of you, you eyed each other in the arena. Just because you were from the same district, didn’t mean that you two were safe from killing other. You dropped your bow and arrows to the ground and stood in front of him, vulnerable. “Just do it Michael!” “Why?” he asked, his macho persona fading as he saw you standing there so vulnerable. “They need a strong willed victor back home, that’s you, not me. Just kill me, but when you go back, please don’t let my family die.”

Luke: Sweet Luke, you hated seeing him where he was. You were his pregnant girlfriend back home, watching him on the screen, killing people so that he could survive and come back home to you and ensure your safety. You held your breath the entire time, the only time you let out a breath of relief was when they had announced Luke the victor of the games. You smiled down at your belly. “He did it baby, he won for us.”

Calum: Allies, that was all you were, nothing less, nothing more. “Shelter.” he says and you shake your head, surveying your surroundings. “Still too much daylight, we’ll be easy to find. Keep moving, if we want to stay alive.” He was about to argue, but thought better of it and followed after you. “Thank you for keeping me alive.” he says and you nod. “We’re only allies to ensure one of us goes back home to our districts Calum, whoever wins, helps our family and the other family.” Calum nods. “Yeah, at least our families will be safe. For now.”
