27 - SURPRISE

BEA POV

I just arrived home after my class in the afternoon. I go directly to the house since Jia decided to go home to her family after her morning class. She will be there until Sunday pa.

I go directly to my room and lie down on my bed. After 20 minutes I am damned bored as hell. So I go down and watch TV.

I keep on flipping the channels but couldn't find any shows that would delight me. So I turned it off. I lie in the sofa for a moment but then I'm still uneasy.

So i go to the kitchen and find something to munch on. I brought the food in front of my Xbox and play while eating.

But when I get bored after 30 minutes I decided to go to my room to sleep. But I couldn't sleep, I take a look on my phone, waiting for her text. Pero HOPIA.

Since I couldn't sleep I decided to go down again. My parents were already watching TV while my brother is playing basketball in the computer.

I sat beside my parents and sag myself on the sofa.

DAD: "It seems that our princess is bored and not in the mood?"

LOEL: "It is because her princess is not around and wouldn't be back until Sunday." Hahaha

Kaya binato ko si kuya Loel ng unan. Napaka tsismoso niya lang talaga pagdating sa mga karelasyon ko.

MOM: "It means hanggang Sunday natin pagtitiisan ang ganyang mukha niya."

DAD: "Bakit hindi mo sundan si babe mo, gusto mo kasama na kami at mamanhikan na tayo!?"

LOEL: "Para wala ng kawala. Totohanan na ba yan stubborn princess?"

BEA: "You guys were so sweet. I'm touched, really touched."

Sarcastic kung sabi sa kanila.

LOEL: "Bakit hindi mo puntahan, para hindi ka magmumukhang  tanga diyan."

BEA: "Whatever, makatulog na nga lang."

DAD: "Ang sabihin mo magmumokmok ka lang. Ayaw pa kasi tawagan or text man lang."

Then, umakyat na ako sa taas. Naglagay ng headset sa tenga at idinaan sa tulog ang lahat.

The next day...

As I awake, the first thing I did is to grab my phone hoping for something... well actually for someone. But still... "sxxt masama talagang umasa."

I can't help it anymore, so I take a look on her twitter account.

It was last night. Is she expecting for me also as I expect for her?

Then, naghilamos na ako and bumaba. My parents and kuya were watching the early news.

LOEL: "Thanks be to God. She is awake. Ano puyat sa kahihintay? Tapos nganga?" Hahahaha

Pinandilatan ko lang siya ng mata. Ang aga-aga ako talaga ang inaasar.

DAD: "Puyat lang? Mukhang naglamay ka?"

MOM: "Tumigil nga kayong dalawa, kumain na tayo."

BEA: "Wala akong gana kumain."

Then, sinalat ako sa leeg ni dad.

DAD: "Hindi ka naman mainit, may sakit ka ba?"

LOEL: "Meron dad, lovesick."

MOM: "Hindi pwedeng hindi ka kumain Isabel Beatriz De Leon. Kaya tigilan mo yang kaartehan mo at kumain ka dito."

So I have no choice but to obey my dearest mother. Though konti lang ang kinain ko, wala talaga akong gana.
