Annie's POV
We were all crying.
I know what mom did was an accident, but the police don't believe me. Dad left two months ago because our parents got divorced, so this was it.
Foster care.
We were going to a house that had a little kid, Eleanor. We packed some clothes and stuff and got in the black car.
"Three hours to go," Hayley sighed.
"Excuse me, can I vlog please? I need to tell the fans what happened," I asked.
"Sure," the driver replied.
I pulled out the camera, fixed my hair, and wiped my face with a napkin because I had been crying.
"Hey guys, uh, it's Annie, and we have something important to tell you. So, our mom accidentally pushed Hayley out the window yesterday, and that's why we didn't post. She fractured her arm and she got a light green cast."
I turned the camera towards Hayley to show her cast.
"Mom lost custody of us even though it was an accident. The police didn't believe us when we told them, though. We're going to a foster home now and we'll beg them to let us vlog. I didn't even get to say bye to my best friend Katie."
At that point I was crying. Hayley took the camera and started talking.
"Coral girls and coach Mary, if you're watching this, we'll miss you."
She turned off the camera and put it in my bag. We took out my phone and updated our social media accounts with the news.
...
Hayley's POV
"You can get out of the car," Matt, our social worker, said.
"Okay," Annie and I replied.
We got out the car with our stuff. We rang the doorbell and a little girl opened the door. She had shoulder-length blond hair and green eyes.
"Mommy, they're here!" She yelled.
A lady came to the door and shook our hands.
"Thanks for taking them on such short notice," Matt said.
"No problem. Come on in, Julianna and Hayley," The lady said.
We sat on the couch and Matt left.
Annie's POV
"Well, I'm Audrey, and this is my nine year-old daughter Eleanor," Audrey (the lady) said.
"Uh, I'm Julianna but I prefer Annie, and this is my younger sister Hayley," I said.
Eleanor showed us upstairs. She pointed to a room on the left and then she ran down the hall. I walked into the room with Hayley and there were two beds, a desk, and a fairly small closet.
We unpacked our stuff and set it in a black dresser. Then, we went back downstairs and had a late lunch. It wasn't fancy, just sandwiches.
"Tell me about yourselves," Audrey said.
"Our family had a YouTube channel called Bratayley, and we have four million subscribers. Also, I'm a level 9 gymnast, and Hayley is a level 3," I said.
"Eleanor does gymnastics too! She's a level 5. I can sign you up at our gym if you'd like," Audrey said.
"We'd love that!" Hay Hay said.
"Another thing: your file says you're homeschooled, Annie. Is that true?" Audrey asked me.
"Umm, yeah," I responded hesitantly.
"Well, you'll have to go to public school," she said.
Public school?!?!?!?!
Well, there's chapter one! 😝
