It was dark outside and Allie Jade was sleeping next to Annie, whom she thought of as her best friend. Allie woke up because she heard a noise that sounded like a car. She carefully climbed over the other girls to look out the window. There were three police cars that Allie saw, and a police man looked at Allie from the ground. She waved and he smiled back. Then, the police broke down the door and she heard voices, and her daddy screaming. Allie flinched to the sound of a loud bang, and it woke the other girls up. Two policeman came upstairs and told all the girls to follow them. They got in the car and Allie sat on Annie's lap, since there wasn't much room. They drove for a long time to a big building.

The girls went inside and sat on a couch, and a lady and a man came in. Allie scooted back from the man, unsure if he was nice or not. He and the lady were really happy and hugging Annie and Hayley and Madison and Skai and Charlie and Ginger. Allie guessed that they knew that Ginger was hurt because they didn't hug her tight like everyone else. So then, they talked to the police and Allie listened in.

"Are the girls in good condition?" The man asked.

"Yes, except Ginger. Billy, she may have damaged her cardiac pacemaker and according to her sister, it was a month ago. The third day they were there," The police man said.

"Oh my gosh. Okay. We will have to take her to the hospital. I know that Alissa was on the case, and was found with my girls and foster kids. But who is the little girl? Does she have a case?" The woman asked.

"No. We think that the kidnapper was her father and he somehow still had custody of her, Katie," The police started, "Hey little girl? Can you tell us about yourself?" He said to Allie.

"Uh, my name is Allie and I'm 6 years old. I love the color pink. This is my cat Lily," Allie said, holding up her stuffed cat.

"Okay sweetie. Who are your parents?" He asked.

"My mommy left almost a year ago and then daddy took me out of school, and he locked me in my room with a little bit of food, so I asked for more and he put me in the basement and then Annie and her friends came," She said.

"Oh, okay. So Annie, what exactly happened? Like, what did the kidnapper do?" The police asked her.

"He abused us, and we all had a bunch of bruises, but Allie and Ginger got the worst of it. Allie was thrown down the hallway and she landed on her wrist and I was sure she broke it, so I used my jacket as a sling for her, but her wrist probably healed wrong, since it won't move in certain ways it should. And Ginger was shoved into the wall with the guy's knee and we think he broke her pacemaker," Annie said.

"Okay. So we will take Ginger to the hospital today," Katie said.

"Sounds good. And currently, we do not have room for Allie to stay in the temporary home for girls, so could you possibly keep her for the night?" The police man asked.

"Sure!" Annie said before her parents could answer.

"Well, Annie likes her, I guess, so sure," Katie said, chuckling.

Billy agreed. Allie went home with all of them in the big mini van and then they got to their house. They all went inside while Billy and Ginger took the other car to the hospital. Allie stepped inside the house and three dogs came running. She hugged them all, even though Annie was trying to get them away. Allie already knew she loved it here right away!
