Allie's POV

"Hey Allie Jade," I heard a voice behind me.

I turn around in the lunch line. Oh my gosh, it's one of the most popular girls in our school! And she knows my name!

"Oh, hey Raina," I smiled.

"I think it's really cool you made the cheer team over at West Severn," She said.

"Thanks. I like your shirt," I said. The shirt was black and white checkerboard, sleeveless, and was tied in the front. But to be honest, I really thought the shirt wasn't the best for school, since the bottom sat just above her short line.

"Thanks," She said, her blue eyes twinkling. Oh my gosh, she's so beautiful. Her brown hair with slight waves, pulled into a neatly placed waterfall braid that sat on her right shoulder. She had a few freckles that dotted her cheeks, and no acne whatsoever. Lucky her.

I turned back around, since I was now at the front of the line. I grabbed a chicken wrap and a chocolate chip cookie. Once I had paid, I started walking to my usual table, the one in the back corner that sat a few of the shyer girls.

"Hey, Als? Do you wanna come sit with me?" Raina asked.

"Uh, sure," I said, turning on my heel. Why is she being so nice to me?

Once we arrived at her table, the four other kids that were sitting there looked me up and down. They looked at Raina skeptically, then Raina nodded.

"This is Allie Jade," She introduced me, sitting us down. "Als, these are my friends: Quinn, Priscilla, Camila, and Lilla."

"Hey!" I said.

They all smiled back, and it wasn't fake.

We ate and the girls asked me questions, mainly about cheer. Once the lunch bell rang, I quickly walked to my locker and got my biology binder.

The rest of the day, I could only wonder why they suddenly took me onto the popular side.

"Let's see. Which new girls should I try flying. . ," Coach looked at the five of us. "How about Chloe, and. . . let's try Allie."

I nervously smiled.

"Yeah Allie! Yeah Chloe!" Some of the girls cheered.

"Mia and Claire, base Chloe. Haley, back that group, and Molly front it. Now, let's get Lizzie and Sydney basing Allie. Mary, back it, and Ellie, front it." Coach said.

I walked over to the stunt group, and one of the non-new flyers told me what to do.

"So," Kaleigh said, "When you load in, keep your chest up and don't drop your butt. Stand up straight and tall, and imagine that there's a rubber band between your knees and you can't let it snap, so you have to keep your legs close together," She explained.

"Uh, okay." I said.

"5, 6, 7, 8." Coach said.

I jumped onto the bases' hands and stood up. I felt a little wobbly.

"She's toeing a lot," Sydney said to coach.

"Pick up your big toes. When you feel yourself putting a lot of weight in your toes, pick up your big toe and you will even out. If you are heeling, put your big toe down." She said.

"Okay," I said. I picked up my big toes and I felt pretty even.

"Girl, you're a natural!" Mia smiled. She went back to her group, struggling to get Chloe up because she couldn't straighten her legs.

Coach walked over to help Chloe.

"Okay, now you're gonna come down when whoever's backing says 'squish, 1, 2!'. The bases will dip a little, then you will squat with your legs together and put your hands on the bases' shoulders," Kaleigh explained.

I nodded.

"Squish, 1, 2!" Mary called. I did what I was told.

"Dang, you're a really good first time flyer!" Mary told me.

"Thanks!" I smiled and blushed.

So guys, as you know, I've been really busy. I will still try to update, but with everything going on in my life, I can't promise. School, gymnastics, cheer, acting... eventually I'm gonna have to drop one (not school, obviously).
