Annie's POV

After dropping off my kids at school, I went over to Allie and Quinn's house. They moved out of their apartment shortly after the twins turned one year old because it was only two bedrooms and they had to turn Quinn's room into a nursery. Overall, it was very cramped, and about two years ago, they got married.

Kaley and Jaxen are five years old now and are starting kindergarten next week. Jaxen looks absolutely nothing like Allie, while Kaley has Allie's nose and eyes. Other than that, they don't look like Allie. The twins are actually mixed. We already knew Allie was a little mixed because she's English, Spanish, and a little African, but she looks Caucasian. She got a DNA test done for the twins, and they're Irish, English, Swedish, Italian, North African, and Spanish. Jaxen has curly hair and Kaley's is straight with natural waves.

I rang the doorbell. I heard little footsteps running towards the door.

"Mommy, it's auntie Annie!" I heard Jaxen through the door.

A few seconds later, Allie opened the door.

"Hey Annie!" She hugged me.

"Hi! And hi little Jax!" I said, bending down to hug him.

"Come in!" He took my hand and led me inside. I laughed.

"So, my shift begins in twenty minutes, and Quinn's at the grocery store, then she's going to drop off the food and she's got a class to teach. Love you," Allie told me, then headed to the garage.

"Bye!" I shouted after her.

Kaley came running down the stairs.

"Hi auntie! Do you want to play?" She asked.

"Sure!" I smiled.

The twins ran upstairs to their room and I followed them.

The house is only two bedrooms because it's all Als and Qu could afford right now (and our parents even pitched in some money!). Kaley's side of the room was pretty neat, but Jax's was super messy. On the kid-sized white table in their room, a few legos were stacked up. A bin of legos was next to the table.

"We were building a house. Wanna help?" Jax asked.

"Sure!" I smiled.

They sat down in the chairs and I kneeled next to the table. They handed me some legos and told me they were working on a pattern. I helped them finish the house, and by that time, Quinn had arrived home. Kaley and Jaxen must've heard the garage door open, because they ran downstairs before I realized that she was home.

I walked down the stairs where Kale and Jax were running to hug their other mom.

"Mama!" Kaley shouted.

"Hold on, I gotta put down the groceries!" Quinn laughed, walking to the kitchen.

She sat them on the counter, then gave her kids hugs.

"I'm gonna change, then I've gotta go to work," she said.

"Okay," I said.

Quinn ran up the stairs and the kids told me they wanted to watch some TV. Quinn and Allie don't want them to have too much screen time, so their limit is ninety minutes a day, except for active things like Just Dance on the wii. I turned on Disney junior for them and checked the time. I decided to let them watch half an hour, then I'd have them do something else.

A few minutes later, Quinn walked down the stairs.

"Love you!" She blew them kisses.

"Love you too!" The kids replied.

"Bye Qu!" I said.

"Bye Annie!" Quinn waved.
