"Listen little ones, you have to stay in here," I locked the baby gate behind me.

Abbie narrowed her eyes at me. Sapphire attempted to stand up using the gate. She pressed the button with all her strength and pushed the gate open. Luca crawled out of the gate and I watched Abbie crawl out, her staring at me with a silly face.

I got on my hands and knees and crawled after them.

"I'm gonna get you!" I chased them.

Luca giggled and Abbie squealed. The triplets went different directions, Luca to the dining room, Sapphire to the living room, and Abbie headed towards the stairs. I jogged after Abbie and picked her up so she couldn't go up. She kicked her legs and screamed, then started crying.

"I'm sorry little miss, but I don't want you to get hurt," I balanced her on my hip and walked back into the kitchen.

Hayden had grabbed Luca, and Sapphire was a really good child, so she had come back into the kitchen on her own.

We placed all three against the wall and I grabbed the camera.

"Smile!" I said. Next to the camera, Hayden made silly faces.

The three laughed and I snapped the picture. When I looked at it, Luca was giggling and pointing to where Hayden was, Sapphire was giggling with her eyes closed, and Abbie looked, well, she was laughing so hard she looked way too crazy. She definitely wasn't the most photogenic baby I've seen.

I couldn't be happier with this life. The triplets are twelve months old, we have a beautiful house, and Hayden and I are newly married.

I made dinner for the triplets, gave them baths, and put them to bed. I sang them a little lullaby that my mom used to sing to me when I was a baby.

Hayden and I crashed on the couch and grabbed a blanket. I brought over a tub of vanilla ice cream, put whipped cream and caramel on it, and we dug in. Hayden put on Black Mirror and we watched it and ate our ice cream. We ended the day nicely.

Like I said, we couldn't be happier.
