Katie's POV

Billy and I searched everywhere we could think of, then we went to Billy's apartment for a little bit. We had some wine and chatted for a bit. I had decided to stop drinking alone, and I would only do it if I was with a friend. We ate dinner, which was tacos. It was really good. I never remember Billy being able to cook like that! I actually don't remember him cooking for us at all. . . .

Anyway, Billy drove me home. He hugged me, and it felt different. Different than when we started fighting. It felt like the old hugs used to. Magical, wonderful, and safe. Maybe I do miss him.

Annie's POV

At around seven o'clock that night, Hayley and I decided to bike to 7-Eleven to get candy. We hadn't had much sugar in a while, so we were really craving some. I bought airheads and a blue slurpee, and Hayley got a red slurpee and two Juicy Drop Pops. We paid and biked home. When we got home, the lights were on. I never remembered leaving them on. We unlocked the door and went inside to eat dinner. We made mac and cheese and watched TV. I heard someone coming downstairs. It must be mom!

Katie's POV

I heard someone come inside, use the microwave, and turn on the TV. I'm suspicious, and scared. I picked up the knife that's always by my bed (no man in the house for protection!). I slowly crept to the stairs, and peered downstairs. I saw two heads on the couch watching a Netflix movie and eating mac and cheese with slurpees and candy.

Hayley and Annie!

I put the knife back, rushed downstairs, and engulfed my daughters in a hug. We hugged for what seemed like hours.

"When did you get here?" I asked.

"Around noon. We ran from the campsite you left us at. We kept running and traveling, and found my friend Brooke's house. Her dad drove us here," Hayley said.

"Well, I'm just happy you're back uninjured and in one piece," I said.

We talked for a while, then we all went to sleep.

Billy's POV

Tomorrow I'm going to ask Katie if she wants to get back together. Just talking to her made me feel sparks. I love her, and just because we were arguing for a week straight doesn't mean we should have gotten a divorce. I just hope she says yes!
