Annie's POV
I stretched my legs out and heard giggles in my right ear.
"Abs, Luke, Saph, go back to sleep," I mumbled as I rolled over to face Hayden.
Hayden yawned right in my face. I sat up.
"Ew, Hayden!" I made a disgusted face.
"Annie, it's Christmas!" He smiled.
"Already?" I smiled and looked over at my kids.
"Yeah!" Luca jumped off the bed.
"How many times have I told you not to do that," I shook my head, laughing.
"Too many!" He giggled.
I followed my excited five year olds downstairs to the living room. Last night, I was up until around one o'clock making sure the gifts were placed perfectly.
"Santa came!" Abbie shouted as she grabbed a gift.
"That's not your gift!" I told her as she started ripping the wrapping paper off of one of Hayden's gifts.
"Oh," she dropped the gift.
I turned around to see a sleepy Hayden holding our vlog camera. The red light wasn't on.
"You didn't get that on video?" I asked.
"No," he yawned, "I did. I just turned it off."
"Great," I smiled.
Hayden put the camera on its tripod and made sure that everything was in the frame before starting to record.
I took the stockings down from above the fireplace and gave them to their owners. Hayden was only supposed to fill them with the triplets' favorite kinds of candy, but I noticed that he slipped in a small toy car for Luca, a gymnastics Barbie for Sapphire, and a Bitty Baby tiara for Abbie's doll.
I opened my stocking to find it full of Hershey's Kisses, in all of the different flavors. I unwrapped a white and milk chocolate one and popped it in my mouth. I grinned at Hayden, who was ecstatic that I gave him a stocking full of small bags of Frosted Flakes, his favorite food. Forget chocolate, he downs that stuff like it's candy, and we can't have it in the house except on special occasions.
I started having the triplets open their gifts, starting with the least exciting ones, like clothes and shoes.
"I got pink sparkly Uggs!" Abbie exclaimed as she took them out of the box.
"I got sparkly blue ones!" Sapphire said right after putting hers on.
"And I got new Spiderman sneakers!" Luca tried one of his shoes on.
"Let's put them back in the boxes so we can open more gifts!" I told them.
They put away their new shoes and I handed them more gifts.
The triplets opened the newest gifts to find some clothes they had pointed out in various stores over the past month. They whined about wanting the clothes and I told them to wait and see if they would get the clothes for Christmas.
The next gifts were from my and Hayden's parents. When the gifts were mailed to us, a letter came saying not to open the gifts beforehand, and that Hayden's parents met up with my parents so the gifts for each kid could all be in one bag instead of two.
Abbie and Sapphire opened their gift bags to find mini backpacks with little animal faces on the front pocket. Sapphire's was a light brown backpack and the cat on the front had blue eyes and a pink bow on its right ear. Abbie's was a white backpack and the polar bear on the front had purple eyes and a matching large bow on the ear. The girls looked inside the front pocket and discovered cute silver necklaces with their names written in cursive on them.
"If we ask our parents how expensive those gifts are, will they answer? I saw a backpack like that on Amazon and it costed almost a hundred dollars, and those necklaces shine like real silver," I whispered to Hayden.
"They aren't going to answer," he chuckled.
Luca found his gift to be a Zoomer Dino 2.0. Those act similar to real dinosaurs, except for the killing and fighting part, and they move around on their own, but you can play games with them and teach them tricks as well. I saw a commercial for them two days ago and thought about how much Luca would love that.
When he figured out what it was, he got super excited and started opening the box.
"Hold on, we can open that later," Hayden told him.
I headed to my room to get the triplets' last gift.
Another reason I was up so late was because I was setting up parental controls on three iPod Swipes. These iPods are generally speaking the exact same as the iPhone X5 without calling, but you don't need to touch the screen to use it. You just have to swipe your finger above the screen instead of tapping it, like the iPhone 2X.
I take the iPod boxes downstairs in a grocery bag.
"You got us food?" Sapphire asked.
"No, I got you iPod Swipes!" I handed them the boxes as they squeal with happiness .
"And. . ," Hayden pulled tickets of some sort from behind his back, "We're going to Disney World!"
I gasped like I didn't know. Hayley accidentally told me, even though she said it was supposed to be a surprise from Hayden.
Hayden is taking our family to Florida, and Hayley and her boyfriend are joining us, along with Allie.
"Thanks so much Hayden! When do we leave?" I asked.
"We actually leave tomorrow, so start packing," he whispered to me.
"What?! Did you forget how long it takes to pack three kids?!" I hissed.
"Relax, I packed their clothes, swimsuits, and toiletries already, all we need are snacks and toys," he replied.
"Oh great!" I hugged him.
"I love you so much, Leblanc," he kissed my forehead.
"I love you too, Summerall."
