Katie's POV
"So, Selena, we are going to ask you a bunch of questions. It's called an interview," The police woman (who was on her case) said.
Billy and I were at the police station with the five year old Selena, her mother, a sketch artist, and the police lady. Selena had the most beautiful green eyes, long light brown hair, and she was wearing a sundress, clearly happy to be with her mom. She wouldn't stop hugging her.
"Oh, okay," Sapphire replied.
"What the place look like?" The police lady, Veronica, asked.
"It was really dark. And tiny, like my pet hamster Fluffy. It was really hot and smelled bad because I had to go potty in the corner. And I had to sleep on the floor, and I never saw Mr. Sunshine," Selena said sadly.
"Okay, so I'm going to guess she was in a shed," Veronica said to Selena's mother, Lucy.
"Yeah. I heard birds sometimes. And I didn't eat much. I was always hungry. And then Charlie would yell at me for whining—"
"Wait, what was his name again?" Veronica asked.
"Charlie," She simply answered.
"What did he look like, baby?" Lucy asked her daughter.
"He was tall, and he had long hair. I think his hair was blue. Oh, and he had a mustache" She said.
The sketch artist went to work, and after a short amount of time, the artist revealed his work.
"Did he look like this?" The artist asked.
"Yeah. But his forehead was bigger," She pointed out.
"Okay," The artist said, quickly making changes to the drawing.
He showed it to Selena again, and she nodded in approval. She was asked a few more questions, then we had to go, with questions still on the mind.
Selena was asked if she knew of any other girls or if Charlie mentioned anything else. She said no and that she never really saw anyone.
Where could the girls be?
Me, just realizing that I could have made this into at least three books. The first could be Bye, I Guess, about the foster care part, then Abandoned, I Guess, with the part before the new foster kids, and then Kidnapped, I Guess, with the kid napping part. I wish I had done that!!!
