Ginger's POV
Life has been absolute crap lately. First we get kidnapped, then end up feeling really sorry for Allie because of what she's gone through, then freaking get abused and now my pacemaker is likely broken. It's at least damaged. And now, my chest hurts like crazy and I feel a bit lightheaded. It still hurts when I lay down, but hurts way too much to stand or sit. I just hope we get out of this horrid place soon!
Skai's POV
It has been pretty boring in this basement. All we do is sleep and mope around. We've tried to make it fun, but nothing has really worked so far. And now, it's lunch time on our third day being kidnapped. We brought the bowl of tasteless Cheerios over to where we were sitting. We helped Ginger sit against the wall and we all grabbed a small handful for our lunch. We ate in near silence and then passed around the bottle of water so everyone could drink some. Then, we all took a nap and tried our best to ignore the smell of our bathroom, aka a bucket. Shortly after falling asleep, we were woken up to a series of ear-splitting screams. I opened my eyes to see Allie being held upside down by her ankles, her face bright red, starting to turn purple.
"Let go of her! She's dying!" I yelled.
"Do you think I care?" The man says, dropping Allie on her head and walking over to me.
He grabbed my wrist and I fought to get out of his grip. This only caused him to make the grip tighter and he found a way to grab my other wrist. He dragged me out of the room and shoved me to the ground.
"Tell me what to do again, and I throw you off of the roof of this three story house," He said, then punched me in the jaw.
I started crying as he directed me back into the room. I laid down by my twin and sobbed.
"What did he do?" Ginger asked.
"He punched me in the jaw," I said.
"What?" She asked, puzzled.
"He punched me in the jaw," I tried to say. Oh gosh. She couldn't hear me because either my jaw is broken or unhinged!
"I think your jaw is broken," Annie said.
"Yeah, no dip," I tried to say, rolling my eyes.
"Uh oh. Daddy's coming!" Allie warned.
He barged into the room.
"Listen up you pipsqueaks," He said, "I need to keep you alive, so don't think I will try to kill you. And also, I need you to follow me," He said, opening the door.
We all got up and headed for the door.
"Wait guys!" Ginger said, starting to stand up.
She failed, clutching her heart and crying.
"Oh god. Here, I'll just carry you," Annie said, scooping her up.
"Thanks," May May said.
We walked upstairs and out to the backyard. I've never been so glad to see the sun.
"Like I said, I'm not going to kill you, unless you scream or do anything for help. Don't try anything," He said.
The yard was fenced in, and we could see the mountains in the background. The only thing we could there was for us to do out here was swing on a tree swing. No one really had the energy to, except Allie. She ran over and sat on the swing and swung for a few minutes, then we had to go back inside to the dark, cold basement.
I miss the Leblanc's home. I miss the dogs, trampoline, and nice cozy bed. I miss the river, home cooked meals, and beautiful sunsets. But most of all, I miss seeing my sister and friends happy and joyful. I miss seeing my sister not in pain every moment. I wish we could go back home.
